  1. Game kicks off at 8pm, with the subway closing at the usual time of 6pm. Anyone relying on public transport to get home might be struggling, depending on location (i.e. last train to Edinburgh is at 10pm). Not ideal.
  2. If we've got out of paying the fee to Gent, it's good. I'd rather see him in the team than Dowell or Lawrence, although I doubt the manager agrees.
  3. Family: Part of the Valentine’s Book Binding family of Falkirk. Born in Glenrothes in 1971 the youngest of three children. Schooling: Attended Auchtermuchty High School and Edinburgh University – Degree in Journalism Career: Started her career in Journalism working in Dundee then transferred her skills to commercial radio in Edinburgh. Currently resides in Edinburgh. Also, the Nats don't like her, as they think she was complicit in what they perceived as broadcasting bias during their failed referendum.
  4. The rule is quite clear but interpretation is subjective. If the arm is in an unnatural position and the ball is initially kicked (or headed) from far enough away, it's a penalty. Souttar actually moved his arm in the direction of the ball on Sunday, so it was a clear penalty. The handball situation is a lot better than it was two or three years ago, when they were giving penalties any time a ball hit an arm.
  5. I voted him MotM. Thought he was the one player who was constantly looking to get forward and playing with some urgency. Has to be Diamonde. We missed his ball retention yesterday.
  6. But aren't the full-backs in attacking areas if they've vacated their defensive positions?
  7. The way various pundits get so excited about a Scottish Cup win nearly a decade ago sums a lot about Scottish football up. Weirdos.
  8. I thought it was a pretty obvious penalty yesterday (having seen the replays).
  9. I thought we played okay, against a very well organised Hibs side, in the first half. The second half was truly awful. It's depressing how often we seem utterly incapable of putting these sorts of teams away.
  10. I'm assuming Jefte will be back in the side today. Bit of a shame for the lad who played at LB on Thursday, as he put in a good shift. Hopefully we can convert a higher percentage of chances against the Leith tramps but the main thing is 3 points.
  11. Plus our first ever victories in Spain and Sweden (additionally, wasn't it the only time a Scottish team have won in Spain?).
  12. A bit like having two co-commemtators and three analysts, along with the commentator and presenter. So many people to watch, analyse, make decisions on and complicate a simple sport.
  13. I think that's one of our major flaws - we do play some nice stuff but it usually lasts three or four minutes and manage it two or three times per match. We need the good spells to last longer.
  14. Holding the ball up against four or five defenders isn't easy. It's a tough ask. But there's having a good go at it and there's just falling on your arse.
  15. He worked hard, can't fault him for that. The main issue is his ability to hold the ball up - he really isn't very good at that. I think he's actually quite good at assists/lay-offs and his conversation rate is sometimes good/sometimes bad.
  16. Hibs won't play like Malmo did. They'll keep it tight and be well up for it, so it's a different thing entirely. However, they're shite, so we need to beat them.
  17. Interesting to note that the Swedish clubs (over 50% fan owned) successfully voted against using VAR in their domestic matches. A good Calvinist lot are the Swedes (apart from the Malmo manager, the bloke with a face like a Martian and Johan Mjallby).
  18. Definitely one of the most frustrating aspects of his game. Constantly bullied, giving away the ball and falling over. Imagine last night if we had a much better 9 and 10 playing (Lawrence wasn't very good either).
  19. Be quite difficult to beat Swedish opposition in a domestic match. 🤣
  20. Cerny and the LB missed two sitters (one each half).
  21. I thought Bajrami was our best player. I reckon a few of the Swedes will be having nightmares about him. So I'll abstain. 🙂
