I'm not sure I understand the point of fixating on the disallowed goal. It's over, gone, done and dusted. Or are we trying to hide a dismal performance behind a predictable refereeing "mistake"?

I hope it's dawning on John Bennett that we won't find success under Michael Beale. This will be another season wasted on a managerial experiment, the only question is when will the change be made. Do you sack Beale while there's still time to rescue something from the season or wait until it's too late to do anything. We have no DoF and almost certainly no succession plan in place. I thought things looked pretty hopeless when GvB left. I never imagined that a year down the line our prospects would look even bleaker. Looks like we've been scammed.

You have to assume that if Beale had a clue we wouldn't be in this mess.

We appear to be playing without a midfield, which might not be the best plan Beale has ever come up with. Cantwell, Jack and Raskin all far too deep.

I believe it's largely down to attitude and character. Too many seem terrified of the expectation that comes with playing for Rangers. We haven't signed winners who truly believe in themselves, that much was clear in the way we capitulated in Eindhoven. I actually fear the worst on Sunday.

Insomuch as you can only comment on what you've seen so far and speculation about possible futures is meaningless, there's a clear consensus here - the summer recruitment campaign has largely been a failure, another failure. Unless there are dramatic improvements all across the team, which is still possible of course, the inevitable upshot of this will be another wasted season.

It's not going to be a controversial poll. Jack Butland is the only new signing who has justified his recruitment. The rest, a bit of a disaster so far. Eight games or so into the season, it's telling that so many are reduced to making predictions about who will "come good" ....... "eventually".

He also had the great advantage of saying less and doing more? Our man is prone to conducting a talking shop rather than building a football team. People like Brian Clough could do both but it's very rare.

I might be in a minority of one on this but, while he wouldn't be my first choice, I also wouldn't hesitate to throw a starting shirt to Ben Davies if I had to.

It looks a tough group to me, given the team's current form. The only chance we have of coming through the group stage is if there's a rapid and dramatic improvement because there's no way the performance we saw in Eindhoven is beating Betis or Sparta.
