I think that's a wild exaggeration. We didn't appear to miss him when he was out injured for weeks. If Rangers' fortunes are tied to Borna Barisic's presence then we're in deeper shit than I realised.
-
I honestly don’t think it matters greatly if he stays or leaves.

It was last Sunday at 3pm

I think what you’re seeing is the expression of hope. It’s a variant of faith and requires no actual evidence or coherent analysis, merely a belief that if we do nothing the malfunctioning manager will ‘come good’. By what means, no one knows. Bold and decisive action is terrifying for many and must be put off until such time as either the redeeming miracle turn up or the situation gets so bad that it’s safe to be judgmental.

Wasn't he called Paulo Maldini?

Where's Zico?

It still really annoys me that Beale turned his back on one of the few really talented players we have on the books. What the hell was he playing at?
-
I doubt Hagi would relish returning to play under Beale anyway
-
One more failed managerial appointment and you'd have to conclude the board doesn't know what it's doing.
-
Hardly a convincing roll call of honour. I would certainly see him as a step up from Beale, I just don't see a huge body of evidence that he would take Rangers to the top.
-
Why? What is it about Potter that demonstrates to you that he could lead Rangers to success? As far as I know he's never won anything domestically and never managed in European competition? And he's out of work.
-
To justify that surely you’d first need some sign he knows what he’s doing. I suspect the crowd reaction on Sunday will have been very sobering for Beale and I’d question whether he has the fortitude to cope with it. We’ll see.

As all successful Rangers managers have shown, the most important attribute at this club isn’t tactical genius but leadership, the ability to unify and motivate players - to have them believe in themselves- the complete opposite of what we have today.
-
At least six games in European competition is a hell of a carrot to dangle in front of even experienced managers. Do it now.

To want to give Beale more time you first have to pretend the last 10 months never happened. Either that or you have a gambler's belief in miracles.
-
Even when the evidence is staring us in the face and waving a flag above its head saying "look at me", there will still be people who prefer the apparently reasonable approach of setting new goals and delaying the inevitable, presumably with the intention of exhibiting "fairness". It's called prevarication, the favourite hobby of people who prefer not taking decisions. Beale has been here 10 months. He's been able to rebuild the squad under his own personal direction. He has won nothing. He hasn't won a single game that counted for anything. But, more importantly, this isn't about Beale, it's about Rangers. By delaying the inevitable conclusion to Beale's tenure, it's Rangers we gamble with.
-
It might help to explain why Beale is so keen not to have a DoF, or at least for any new DoF to be kept at arms length. Can't have anyone seeing too much of how the manager actually operates.
-
Do you think any new player is going to make a public declaration that he joined despite the manager?
-
This sums up why we lost to Celtic.
-
If any of that is accurate then he's definitely not the man to manage Rangers
-
If Michael Beale knew what to do, don't you think he would have done it at some point over the last 10 months? We don't have the luxury of waiting for Beale to figure it out while he loses the dressing room as well as the fans.

In a lifetime supporting Rangers I've seen this embarrassing scene far too often. There are some real barrel-scrapings among the Rangers support, perhaps fewer than there once were but too many are still among us. An obsession with alcohol is much too common among those who can't handle it without turning into animals.

To answer the question you first have to decide whether it's likely there might be some advantage in delaying what to me seems an inevitability. In other words, have you seen anything in Beale's leadership that suggests a reversal of current misfortunes. For myself, I see nothing to hang hope on and I would sack him now before even more damage is done. Basically, I think we have a windbag whose entire focus is on his own status.
