I firmly believe it will be like this until the day he clears his desk. Abandon hope, relinquish optimism, assimilate disappointment.
Instead of digging us out of a hole, Beale has made it deeper. You can see it in his face now, he knows what's coming, it's just a matter of when and how much damage.
I'd like to understand who came up with Beale as a candidate. Was he Wilson's choice, approved by the main board, or did Wilson have no part in identifying candidates?
No, I think I got it pretty much spot on. Our midfield has all but ground to a complete standstill. Lundstram spends too much time sitting far too deep and apparently the sole purpose of our fullbacks is to receive the ball out wide, hesitate and pass backwards to the centre back. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
It's certainly not good. A must win game and we leave Jack, Sima and Roofe on the bench. Cifu and Lundstram in midfield should ensure another turgid and low tempo game. Or am I being too pessimistic?
I'd rather see Wright starting than some others. I just hope we don't continue trying to use him as a touchline player, where he's been wasted for the last 2 years.
With Rangers playing on a Thursday for the next few weeks, every Sunday will see us stand on the edge of an abyss where we go 7 points behind. If we fail one more time, the league is lost.
There's no chance of that happening. We will be playing two games per week for the next two months and rotation is essential. On Sunday we could well see starting places for Dessers, Lammers, Jack, Yilmaz, Souttar and possibly even Scott Wright.
Tempo and an effective press are everything. It's just that we don't have the players to deliver this.
So, what we'll do instead is emulate Ross County coming to Ibrox, hope to keep them out for 80 minutes, and hope to steal something at the death.
