It would be nice to think the board had spent the last few weeks talking to prospective managers and only sacked Beale having agreed on a successor, who will be announced shortly. It’s much more likely they simply decided to cut out the cancer and put the club on life support while they look for a permanent cure. I can live with that.

It’s not often the board is ahead of the majority of fans so there’s bound to be some reaction 😏. Including, in some cases, a complete loss of humour apparently.

I don't suppose we'll have any more whining about the board not listening to the fans. Although if they'd listened to the fans on Gersnet then Beale would still be Rangers manager.

There's so much hysteria from the usual suspects over the Steve Davis appointment that I'm beginning to find it funny. Who knew we had so many savants in our tiny corner of the inter web?

In any case, we can't change the players but we can change the manager. There only so much of a tune you can get out of any group of players but what can be done is to heal the broken morale and reunite the dressing room, which will always produce better performances. Our players will have sussed the imposter long before we did.

Thinking about the situation we find ourselves in, it seems inconceivable Beale will still be manager next weekend. Despite all the silly talk about James Bisgrove, this is exclusively a task for John Bennett and the Rangers International FC board. I don't think he will continue to delay the inevitable. I can see Beale taking the team to Cyprus but no further. I hope this is the way it happens. God knows how we get rid of the expensive imposters Beale has saddled us with.

I think what you might be overlooking here is the importance in certain quarters of being seen to be especially angry and outraged. We're all disappointed of course but some have a defining role to play. That's not to say Bisgrove's hair isn't at the root of the whole mess.
