Rangers star Josh Windass insists he wasn’t hitting back at Gers fans
Bill replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Bloody Windass, he’s only scoring all these goals to piss off the support, arrogant bastard. -
Thanks. But even if general pre-emption is waived, surely a new share issue will still be open to the major shareholders?

You won’t “tolerate” it. Have you any idea how pompous that looks? -

Fuss over nothing. Is the Rangers support really so thin skinned? -
It's one thing to debate the pro's and cons of having a banking facility. It's another to speculate on the terms of that facility, which is much more important.

So glad to see Walter isn't going to put himself through the mill with the SFA again.

I never understand why so many players arrive in a flurry of good performances, then sink into mediocrity after ten games. For a while I thought Declan John was a big improvement on Lee Wallace but he has been atrocious lately. Inconsistency is a failing that is soon exposed at Rangers.

For a financially secure business a banking facility is merely a short term bridging mechanism to accommodate normal income variation. Reasonably, this would seem to apply to football clubs like Rangers. On the other hand, if it is seen as a borrowing facility to cover sustained trading shortfalls, it is simply a means of generating growing debt. If this is the case, we are definitely not (yet) on a secure financial footing.

Just hope there is no unusual collateral terms.

There are some short memories around. Some of our best post-war players regularly “went missing” in games. Tommy McLean, Willie Henderson and Davie Cooper all did that. Josh Windass isn’t of that calibre but neither does h deserve the manic criticism by many who are simply conforming to the latest group-think targeting of certain players. -

Not for me. Time to move on. -
How would you know whether I understand it or not?

Apart from being a contradiction in terms, American football has to be the most over-hyped borefest on the planet. Or there's Nascar.

Could it be because, like all previous incarnations, C1872 isn’t about its members at all but about endorsing the personal wishes of the usual few? It’s always been thus, always will be.

I've never been convinced that standing created the better atmosphere in days gone by. More likely it was the greater amount of alcohol I remember being consumed before and during the games. Maybe we could campaign for a Safe Pissed section?- 50 replies

In my own humble opinion, safe standing is a complete waste of time and money and, I believe, support for it is largely motivated by the fact others have pursued it. To be frank, it is so far down the list of priorities for Rangers that it shouldn't even be in sight. By contrast, our facilities for disabled fans are obsolete and demeaning and a serious upgrade is long overdue.- 50 replies

Good fortune Danny Wilson. Thanks for your service to Rangers.

I think if the word ****** (I refuse to disguise the spelling, which is ridiculous) has been used in a disparaging sense, it certainly hasn't been against Roman Catholics in general. In fact, I've never felt that Rangers fans were ever particularly anti-Catholic, except in one very narrow corridor or contempt - where Catholic was strictly synonymous with Irish republicanism. I don't think any of us ever regarded Lorenzo Amoruso or Rino Gattuso as "******" or ever criticised them for being Catholics. It may in fact be more accurate to say that "Catholic" became derogatory only as an erroneous substitute for Irish republican (who readily designate themselves as fenians), rather than the other way around.

After the furore about Phil Neville's past indiscretions, I can't wait to see what the feminist fascists make of Neil Lennon's appointment as Scotland manager, which now seems to me to be as inevitable as it is predictable.

There's a valid opinion that staying in a rain sodden, bitter, divided midden like Scotland and playing football in a shite league that will soon be all but excluded from top European football, while putting up with atrocious refereeing, is showing a lack of ambition.
