If that’s true it’s utterly unacceptable. I’d like to see some evidence of it however, since I don’t go on any other forums to experience it. I’ve never seen it on here but there again I’m a relatively recent arrival. I have seen a few stalkers here though but mainly the prissy variety

No worries
-
No, why would you think that?

Where do you get your info from? VB was supportive of the King consortium taking over.

None at all.

I’m not convince you’ll ever get one without the other ? -
Alistair Johnston Statement Discussion: Murty to remain in place

I’ll take five shit results between now and the end of the season if it means new and effective ownership coming on board. -
It’s disappointing to see a group of Rangers fans who have been so active in addressing the club’s detractors being sniped at by Gersnet members. VB has nothing to be ashamed of and much to be proud of. Those taking cheap shots and making false assertions should be ashamed of themselves. If you feel so strongly why not take your views directly to VB.

Alistair Johnston Statement Discussion: Murty to remain in place

There has been the odd rumour of a new owner but few took it seriously, including me. I suppose a theory could be developed that the board inactivity is simply a prelude to a new group taking over. It could also be suggested this is why King tried to hard to avoid his share offer and why the board needs to keep Club1872 at arms length. It’s unlikely but as plausible as most things that come out of a Ibrox these days. -
Where is the evidence VB has told the board to sell up? In your imagination?

Looks like FF is still the same madhouse I left a decade ago.
-
Probably. Maybe.

People like this wouldn’t be my first choice but I’m increasingly convinced this is the direction from which the eventual solution will come.

Such piety is a fascinating thing. Is this how the offended generation rolls?
-
Relax. All this is proof of how much pain we’ve inflicted on Celtic over the years. They’ve long been damaged goods.

Well said Pete, that bollocks keeps being spouted. Like many, I had to reinvent myself several times to maintain a career. What’s so special about sportsmen?

Am I the only one who couldn't give shit who makes our strips, so long as they fork out the biggest pile of cash. -
So much discussion about who might shoulder the greater blame, Murty or certain players, when (almost certainly) neither of the parties will be anywhere near Ibrox next season. The real issue here isn't which of them is most to blame but how did things come to such a sorry pass and what's to be done to make sure it doesn't become such a public humiliation again? This situation didn't happen overnight, the warning signs have been there for months at least. Why wasn't this picked up at a higher level and action quietly taken? Why is it that at Rangers everyone always seems to be looking the other way until the shit hits the fan yet again? This entire farce is a failure of leadership. Not management but leadership. There are usually more managers in an organisation than is good for it but there is only ever room for one leader. I'm not sure we have one or, if we do, whether he knows the first thing about the role. Until we get this sorted out, there will be more and more blaming games to indulge in. The problem with correcting failing leadership is that poor leadership is tenaciously self-sustaining and (by definition) always the most difficult to dislodge. Unfortunately, I see a long and troubled road still stretching ahead of us and, much as we're all sick of these things, only another boardroom revolution has any chance of turning the corner. The likes of Club1872 might want to think hard about its immediate agenda and whether it's sensible to continue taking money to fund share purchases that will only cement in place what is fast becoming a toxic regime.

In the last 20 years only one CL winning team (Porto) has come from outside the "big leagues" of England, Germany, Italy and Spain. It's not so much a European trophy and an exclusive club for a very small number of financial giants. It's also boring as hell.

That's true enough
-
They should ... but of course we all know they won't. People in that position seldom do, they nearly always have to be persuaded. Even if they don't have convertible loans hanging round their necks.
-
The assumption there is that the board has the means to a solution but is deliberately dragging its heels. What if they simply don’t know what to do or can’t agree?
-
That's beneath even you. You know nothing of Vanguardbears and it certainly doesn't base it's values on silly political tribalism.

Perhaps the two guys knew you better than you thought?
