The problem we have now is that Beale not only failed to get the best out of what he inherited but he set us further back by unloading substandard crap into the squad. We have little of no trading value in our first team and I can't see how we rise out of this mire unless and until we improve player quality. I think Beale may have condemned us to at least another two seasons of failure.

It’s marginally better but still ponderous and loads of pointless negative passing -

Looks like we’re waiting for St Mirren to score first. -

Wouldn't that make a fine statement to our misfiring prima donas. And Scott Wright as captain to make sure there's no misunderstanding. -

I don't see why, you get everything else wrong. 😉 -
Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers wouldn't get in the Hearts team

That may be the case. Nevertheless the board will decide and we will have no option but to accept it. -

I do. Davies was long ago identified as a whipping boy and no amount of good performances will change the opinion of those who want him dropped. In reality, the form of Tav and Goldson has been no better than Davies but you won't see the same clamour to drop them because they don't have a label round their neck saying "scapegoat, blame me". -

Or ........... we could appoint someone else and still continue to lose games, in which case we'll all be wishing we'd waited on Muscat. There are no guarantees in any of this. The board will make its decision based on who the directors consider to be the best man for the job. Waiting another 7 weeks isn't critical but if the board think it is then they can always call in someone else as a short-term appointment to fill the gap. -

Oh ffs, just when I was recovering from the trauma of Lampard as a possible appointment, you bring up Le Guen 😞😆 -

Given our options, I'm content with either Clement or Muscat but what concerns me is where do we go if we are unable to reach an agreement with these candidates? Two is a very small shortlist. -

There still a significant backing for Musky. At this stage I wouldn't bet against either Clement or Muscat -

The relief of knowing it won't be Lampard has gone some way to redeeming the last week. We might have lost to Aberdeen and some goat herding collective but that's more than made up for by sacking Beale and avoiding Lampard. -

It's such a sad and inevitable reality that every lifelong partnership has to end with one partner passing first and the other left behind to mourn.

Caixinha, Gerrard, Van Bronckhorst, Beale ......... you'd think someone on the board would see the common denominator in our ongoing shambles. But no, they're clearly determined to repeat the same mistakes again with Lampard. If he gets the job I think I'll just abandon the rest of the season and come back next September for the sacking. -

If it is Lampard, why don't we just cut out the usual 10 months of hesitation and just start booing the twat right away? I'm so sick of this. Only Rangers could appoint a universally unpopular manager. -

Clement for me but better Muscat than Lampard. -
I suggest he be given a month's suspension and that all my own warning points be wiped from the record.

It's staggering to think how much money we spend during the summer on complete duds. Beale's legacy is going to haunt us for years to come.
