  1. Can't see us finishing this game with ten players let alone eleven.
  2. There may well be contradictory reports on what happened, each backed up by witnesses. In such case, it can be a much longer process of testing each side of the story.
  3. No problem, it's a purely personal opinion on duration. The show certainly works fine on a longer format but a whole hour to sit and listen to a podcast is often hard to find - and somehow it doesn't lend itself to dipping in and out.
  4. A really enjoyable listen and well done to those taking part. I still think it should be 30 mins max though. And what a disappointment when it turned out Pete still isn't bringing a Dutch accent to the microphone.
  5. Looking at that squad list, how is it possible someone gave Hodson a contract through to 2019?
  6. It’s an amazing record, it takes him well beyond the realm of mere opinion.
  7. Red Hand Rangers ... I could cope with that.

    Today's game

The thing is though, Dorrans has at one time played at quite a high standard in English football. At 31 he can't be over the hill so what has changed? He may be turning in crap performances but I can't see how he IS crap. When an experienced pro suddenly drops his standards there has to be a reason. The ankle injury? Poor management?
  9. Unless they control access to disabled parking I can guarantee it won't be respected by everyone.

    Peterhead

It’s a long time since I’ve been in Peterhead but I’m there today. It’s also quite a long time since I saw a Rangers shirt being worn on the street but I saw one half an hour ago ... then a second ... then two more together. Not such a bad place really

    THE PRESS

It takes two to tango and the media in Scotland will continue to piss on you even as you cosy up to them for a "fresh start". I think the notion of changing the spots on that particular bheast is futile and no amount of "boxing clever" will change it. Either they change or nothing changes.
  12. Hopefully the last six years can be put behind us now.
  13. Only if your mainbrace is fully spliced and you know the way round the rum islands of the Caribbean.
  14. That's OK cos I'm a lazy bassa. When I fail everything I'm thinking of becoming a nautical engineer's third mate with specialisms in crows nests and poop decking.
  15. Is it possible to discuss fake news without mentioning the SNP. The fact it's Rangers only makes it more relevant.
  16. Bloody exam starts at three o'clock. You'd think the university authorities would be flexible enough to accommodate a small delay. Concentrating might be difficult.
  17. Because this is the age of the po-faced hand-wringer. Do not step off the true and pious path or they'll flay you with condescension. You callous bastard.
  18. Their extensive PR system has been boasting how "cash rich" they are so they'll probably just build a new stadium over the summer.
  19. Five minutes ago we were sure an empty magic hat was all we needed. I think most of us are finally realising you judge success after the event and welcome new managers and players with warmth and optimism ... but also caution and realism ... the spectrum being heavily influenced by the extent of any spending power that's not funded by debt alone. So, welcome and good luck Steven Gerrard, we'll see how you do.
  20. Then what happens in the league that has an additional club - do all clubs in that league play an additional two games? What then if the same happens the following season and the season after that. It looks like they just said "we'll cross that bridge when the time comes".
  21. I welcomed the changes that allowed new blood to enter the Scottish league system but I've never understood how it worked at the interface with the non-league structure. For the sake of argument, let's say Cove Rangers win promotion and Cowdenbeath are relegated. On the way up, no problem. On the way down, presumably Cowdenbeath join the Lowland League. This leaves the Lowland League with one club too many and the Highland League with one club too few. Surely that can't be how it was intended to work? Does the Highland League then co-opt a new club? Does the Lowland League release it's bottom club? Since both have no lower tier feeder structure, that seems unlikely too. Does anyone know how this is actually supposed to work?
  22. It would not surprise me to learn that Gerrard is not the pick of Dave King but was identified by new investors ... or that Gerrard himself is part of a new investing consortium. I just find it hard to believe the same directors who came up with Caixinha and McInnes suddenly were able to attract Gerrard to the club. As the saying goes, follow the money and you'll find the truth.
  23. You can’t spend wisely what you don’t have either
  24. I’m happy to welcome Gerrard to Rangers but I’ll get excited only when we know where the money is coming from to allow her m to make a real difference.
  25. Is that in the same way the Labour Party isn’t anti Semitic because it doesn’t have an official antisemitism policy? You’re offering pedantry as a defence and lurching towards whataboutery - it’s not pretty but it goes a long way to confirming the uniquely potent self-deception required to inhabit the cold grey world of allegiance to both Rangers and the SNP.
