We used to have more than our share of the same arrogance. There’s still some of it around. Six seasons being kicked around like outcasts has been a sobering lesson for many. Rather than see a return to success as a matter only of revenge, perhaps we might also pursue it with some much-needed humility.

We spent four seasons in the lower leagues, leaving Aberdeen an open field to challenge for trophies. If you add the season we entered the chaos of administration and the last two seasons of slow rebuilding, that's 7 seasons where the mighty Aberdeen have singularly failed to mount any kind of challenge to Celtic in the league race and have a single league cup win four years ago to justify their current arrogance. They must be the most delusional fukwits in football. There's only one club will knock Celtic off its perch and it isn't ever going to be Aberdeen.

You daft bugger, I'm quite sure you upset no one at all. The money I'd seriously like to see reallocated to our needy families is the £13bn or whatever we spend on overseas aid every year. You could help a lot of Britain's poor with that. As for the royal wedding, I'm sure it will have turned a profit for the nation.

I’m going to enjoy seeing Brendan eat those words. The bheasts are definitely getting above themselves but fall they will.

Well said and apologies for the various ScotNats, republicans and general leftie malcontents you'll encounter on here. Luckily we're not all like that. Couldn't agree more re the wedding. You couldn't buy that kind of PR for Britain, the goodwill it generated around the world is astonishing. ??

It means doing whatever you think is in the best interests of Rangers. You and I might disagree on what that is but I don't think the many fans who, on a point of principle, no longer go to away games are less of a supporter than you.

48000 Rangers fans didn't seem to get them to raise their game at Ibrox too often this season.

The Summer 2018 Transfer Window Rumours and Deals
Bill replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
I hope we don't go overboard with loan youngsters from Liverpool or elsewhere. I don't mind loan players if they bring proven quality we don't have but if we're going to blood youngsters I'd rather it was our own so that we can benefit if/when they move on. -
I long ago gave up hoping the Rangers support would wield its enormous financial stick and stop going to away games, at least for a while. But that doesn't mean that fewer fans going to fewer away games wouldn't still send a powerful message. The point being that we shouldn't stop promoting the idea that, while going to away games is actively supporting our team, it is also giving succour to those who have and will continue to do us down. If we can persuade even a fraction of the away support to stay home then we take money directly out of our enemies' pockets.

At the very least. O'Halloran should never be allowed anywhere near the first team squad again. If he won't go voluntarily let him train on his own and sit on the development team bench for a year.
-
I've never understood how any Rangers fan can feel comfortable with the club taking on anyone with a clear affinity to Celtic, on or off the park.
-
"Big deal. Why are we bothered?" There are times when I wonder that as well, with supporters around who need to ask daft bloody questions like that. I think your response will have you pegged as a bheastophobe dinosaur by our new age fans.

The Summer 2018 Transfer Window Rumours and Deals

Surely that's just income insurance and doesn't have any bearing whether a player stays or goes? -
Using scarce resources to expand Ibrox at this time would be lunacy ... when the existing stadium is in such dire need of rejuvenation and we need every penny to try to put a decent team on the park.

It's worth considering that these recycling managers are probably doing something that the managers of the top six couldn't do without the vast funds at their disposal. Horses for courses?

The Summer 2018 Transfer Window Rumours and Deals

Transfer window in Scotland opens 9th June but opened south of the border 17th May. Why so? -
I wonder what the cost would be of building a multi-storey car park for (say) 1500 cars? I saw an article about a new multi-storey car park at Aberdeen hospital that holds 1000 cars and cost £10.7m to build.

Michael O’Halloran suffers vile sectarian abuse after Catholic church visit
Bill replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Surely the point is that the SNP is such an inept clusterfuck and independence is such a short, steep slope to ruin that no one in their right minds should be voting for them/it, regardless of which football team they support. That some of our own make such poor decisions is something to regret but is hardly a surprise, given the way society is now driven by "feelings" rather than analysis. -

I believe those with "special needs" are now simply referred to as socialists. For the sensitive among us ... IT"S A JOKE. -

They say intelligence is normally distributed in the population. The unavoidable and uncomfortable conclusion from this is that half the population have below-average intelligence and about one in seven of those you share the streets with has a sufficiently low IQ as to inhabit a very different world from the rest of us. It should therefore surprise no one that we routinely come across people whose behaviour and standards are far removed from anything we might see as normal - their vote counts for just as much as Einstein's though - always remember when trying to understand politicians. -
Naw, you’re spot on. ?? I forgot about that. Pity though.
