I'd rather pay money to Rangers for RTV than watch any other channel. I don't care what the commentators are like, they're Rangers people who don't make snide comments about our club at every opportunity. It also means I'm guaranteed to be able to watch every Rangers game that I can't attend, regardless of venue or alternatives.

Over the years I had many meetings about either buying or selling companies. Most of these were only exploratory and came to nothing - and none were even close to the scale of Ashley's business dealings. However, it never failed to amaze me how much these discussions are driven by personality and ego, rather than purely technical or financial matters.I think anyone involved in A&M will confirm this. If Ashley has decided to clear his feet of Rangers then it won't be driven only by financial need. Someone must have blinked.

The only problem facing Rogers is being the Celtic manager who lost the title to a resurgent Rangers. Being the sort of vain weasel he is, he'd rather get his excuses lined up and make sure there's a door unlocked.

Like most supporters, I go to Ibrox to watch and hopefully enjoy football, not to attend a festival of music and performing arts. If the football is good, as it was last night, then the atmosphere takes care of itself. If not then the last thing I want is to have to listen to so many performing parrots trying to create an artificial “atmosphere” that the game doesn’t justify.

That could be a major plus factor in that setting.

Frankly, I don't know how we coped back in the days before ultras. Y'know when the only label we needed was "Rangers". Personally, I wish they'd take their uniforms, drums and shit songs and have a think to themselves.

After Tavernier scored I got involved in a conversation about other Rangers captains who had been regular penalty takers. The question was asked if Greig had taken penalties and for the life of me I couldn’t remember if he did or not. I have a vague notion that he did at one point but maybe there are better memories around than mine?????

I'm glad Docherty has only gone on loan and not been sold. Hopefully he'll make the most of the opportunity and return as an asset ready for the first team squad or someone we can then sell on for considerably more money. Good luck to him.

Hubris is an excellent word. Not that I'm ever guilty of hubris you understand ? but I do use the word now and then to describe the riff raff on Gersnet.

Blame? No, just frustrated at the momentum these things seem to gather, usually quite irrational and well in excess of any criticism that's actually merited. Windass is no world beater but he definitely has talent. What I'd like to see is whether SG can better exploit that talent and have it benefit Rangers rather than his next club.

Funny how Celtic and their media pals seem to be able to talk up valuations to a much higher level. I imagine the derisory Ipswich offer is at least partly driven by an awareness of the widespread debate among the Rangers support about his worth. It's the message we seem determined to send out about some of our players.

If we're calling for a sell-on clause in any sale of Josh Windass, does that mean we accept he has more ability than we've been able to exploit and that Ipswich might make him a more valuable player when we can't?
