Given the league we play in and our struggle to keep the wolf from our door, I think sponsorship logos are here to stay. I just wish we would stay away from insidious gambling sponsorship. Basically, if it can't be put on kids' shirts then it shouldn't be on adult shirts.

But we could wear a blue and white striped shirt in away games against teams that have no blue in their home colours. No?

Great shout. I would like that to be our permanent second strip. After that they could do whatever they want.

There's no doubt we've had some good variations in the past but, ultimately, it's a matter of identity and I feel teams should have a definitive strip and stick to it. It's only an opinion of course but I see ours as a blue shirt, white shorts and black socks with red tops. That was what I saw as a kid the first time I watched them run on to the park and it just became fixed in my brain forever.

Dunno why you keep writing this? It is pure speculation to assume because Souness was involved in managerial interviews in the past that any future role must also be football related.

He might do and I hope he does but all you can ever do is judge what you've seen so far.

That's the truth of it. It's being put about by some that Souness will be directly involved in football decisions but as far as I can see this is pure speculation. We're good at speculating and passing it off as fact.
