Lundstram. I just hope that's the last time Clement plays with only one man in midfield.

It's clear to anyone with eyes that much has improved since Beale left and Clement arrived. However, the same personnel on the park will continue to exhibit the same weaknesses whoever sits in the manager's chair. With one exception, the last 5 or 6 seasons have shared one characteristic - the inability of the players to maintain any kind of consistency and a general tendency to finish the season weaker than at the beginning. And it seems to be happening again now. I believe there's a fundamental weakness of character and leadership among the more experienced players in our dressing room and it starts with our captain, who has more than enough on his hands trying to look after his own morale without lifting the heads of those around him. There are too many in our dressing room whose first instinct at any sign of pressure is to fold like cards and the fear spreads like wildfire until you get what we witnessed last night and at Pittodrie. GvB, Beale and now Clement are tinkering at the edges but none have yet addressed the weak heart of the team. Clement will either address this or follow the one-year boys out of the door in 2024.

When we saw the team Beale had chosen to start the League Cup final last season I remember thinking he simply doesn't know what he's doing. I think most of us did. Tonight when I saw the starting line up I had the .same sinking feeling. Now I'm no football expert and I assume Clement knows more about the game and his squad of players than I ever will but playing Lammers as a 10 and Cantwell as a winger is so perverse as to be beyond understanding. I have to say it's worrying. -

That’s not a midfield, it’s an open door. -

While we need the money, we also need better players and Hagi fits the bill without any outlay on fees.. We can think about selling him in the summer of 2025. -
Nothing is gone. You spend a great deal of time and effort trying to convince everyone that the future is bleak for Rangers ... why is that?

At first reading I was sure this was an exercise in sarcasm but in the end it became clear you were simply spreading negativity where none belongs. Are you sure you're in the right place? I approach this game full of confidence and I think we'll look back on the draw at Pittodrie as a major motivator for our success. -
Butland is so consistent but this time Cifuentes gets my vote, although the outcome was determined more by those who turned in a horrendous display, reminiscent of Pedro's tenure. Tavernier, Barisic and Sima would have been more effective sitting in the dugout. Lundstram was joining them at half time but finally woke up to scrape pass marks. Our central defence made one or two critical mistakes but generally were OK. We have a huge problem in midfield and it shows at both ends of the pitch - better hope we have more choice for the cup final. I always thought Clement would have to make some very difficult decisions if we are going to climb out of this mess, now I'm sure of it.

It’s a long time since I saw such a naturally talentless player as Sam Lammers. Beale’s legacy. -

What’s happened to Lundstram? His passing has been woeful at times. -

We have a severe problem in midfield where we can neither win nor retain possession. This won’t work. -

The least effective player on the park in the first 20 minutes has been Sima. -

I worry we’ll miss Jack in midfield but perhaps this is the day Cifu finally arrives. -

That's such good news and maybe is another reflection of a squad committing to a manager they can respect. A star is born?

That fucking drum is beyond depressing but its demented monotony is the perfect accompaniment to the dull-minded rabble displaying like preening parrots at every game. Why do they need a drum to support the team?
