  1. I hate to see this stuff parroted about Celtic ..... "they're a poor team", "they're not world beaters", "they're not a great side" or simply "they're shite" ..... the inference being that we would sweep them aside if only everyone signed up to this simplistic claptrap. Firstly, there hasn't been a 'great' side in Scotland in my lifetime. Secondly, trophies aren't won on the basis of achieving a particular standard, they're decided by being relatively better or worse than your competitors. If Celtic are genuinely so 'shite' then why is their trophy cabinet full while ours is empty? They might be 'shite' compared with Man City but they haven't been 'shite' compared with Rangers for many years. I think it would make a whole lot more sense to do our gloating after winning some silverware.
  2. Then you did the right thing.
  3. We've found common ground at last but I can't understand why you're holding back.
  4. NO and thrice NO. It took long enough to get rid of him, let's not be silly now.
  5. I don't doubt for a minute that Sakala is offering the truth here. It says everything about the inadequacies of Beale's leadership and probably most other football managers too. Releasing a player isn't just about getting rid of someone, it's an opportunity to send a message to those left behind. Beale got exactly what he deserved, he just didn't get it soon enough.
  6. There is that consolation right enough.
  7. It has been allowed and encouraged to fester into the established wisdom of Scottish football. Rangers are given an unfair advantage over other teams, ergo, Rangers are cheats. It's now spoken of openly by players and managers alike and goes largely unchallenged. It's classic Scotland, everything we've become.
  8. The stench of fear has suddenly started billowing from the east.
  9. I hope the dressing room is having a good laugh at this ridiculously predictable bollocks
  10. I can’t believe the club seriously thought it would be rescinded. It had to be an exercise in showing support for the player. Circling the wagons.
  11. If the police have valid reasons for pursuing these people then they should get on with it ...... and impound the bloody drum while they're at it. But that's a separate matter from whether fans should be allowed to express their views of the police.
  12. Betis 2 Rangers 0 FGS - Tavernier
  13. Nonsense, merely showing off as a student of historical idioms
  14. ...... said the actress to the bishop
  15. Aha, the old vermin shears. Some of our members are out of control, using insults like that 🤣 Apply the snips.
  16. Right now I'm more interested in who we can get rid of.
  17. I don't understand getting wound up about a banner displayed by the assembled drummer boys. Criticising the police is NOT a political statement and although I personally wouldn't hold up a banner to that effect at a football match, they are perfectly entitled to do so. If you want to impose restrictions on them then ban that fukking drum.
  18. Chances of Cifu's red card being rescinded? 1. Small 2. Minuscule 3. Negligible 4. You're having a laugh
  19. It's the right thing to do but to hope for a result from the SFA in the week before a cup final is beyond optimism.
  20. Quite the reverse. If people choose to criticise or demean specific police officers then that might be construed as dehumanising but to criticise the standard of policing in this country in general can hardly be dehumanising. Similarly, the means by which such criticism is conveyed might conceivably be 'disgusting' but it's hard to see how simply raising banner could justify that description. Whether or not you (or I) agree with the criticism is irrelevant.
  21. I can’t see a problem criticising the police. As far as I know, the police aren’t a protected species that are beyond criticism, so long as it’s done lawfully and I’d have thought a banner would be perfectly OK.
  22. It was always like that as far back as I can remember.
  23. I wouldn't have believed that if you hadn't pointed it out. It would be interesting to see how this compares with our January results.
