Bizarrely, it looks like the best defence you can muster in for Dessers is to criticise Yilmaz. The simple fact is Dessers was utterly woeful in his first 2 or 3 months and received the criticism he richly deserved. Since he has started actually contributing to the team under Clement, that criticism has rightly ebbed away. Yilmaz is another matter entirely and only you will know why you feel you need to bring him into every discussion on Dessers.

I don't know about winning the league today but I'm sure it was some kind of low temperature record for a football match. Howling gale make for a very difficult game, as did a goalie who inexplicably rolled the ball ten yards straight to an unmarked Aberdeen striker. I still haven't thawed out.

It must be quite irritating to see Ridvan playing well when so much time has been spent briefing against him. Nevertheless, there comes a point where continuing to run him down just looks childish.
