Money is not the only thing we need to compete with them. We have to spend the money we have wisely. they have a huge number of players costing a lot of money contributing very little if anything. Rodgers has an expensive taste in loan players, they have spent around £15m on the loans of Roberts and Masonda alone. For very little return. We can do better than that by looking at players a little more thoroughly, scouting better. Also the fault lines in their team are the same as when Rodgers took over. They are weak at RB, CH and lack a quality creative midfielder. Same as they were with Ronny. Rodgers transfer record at his other teams is patchy at best. We can compete if we get the right players in. Don't need their budget to do it.

After we went a goal down we started to feel sorry for ourselves due to the circumstances of the penalty award. We had no leader on the park to boot us up the backside and overcome the setback, we had to wait until half time. Says a lot about the mentality of the team. That said we were the better team. Doubt they would score without that penalty award.
