Well you can nit pick all you want, the fact is we were poor as a team, just the same as we are good as a team.

Not not picking, I think Morelos would have been better at holding up the ball and bringing others into play, as well as being able to produce something from nothing.  We'll just have to disagree.  I'm by no means letting off the rest of the team.

Morelos played v Hearts last time we were there did he not?

The one where we drew and he scored or the one where we thrashed them and he scored?

Just saying Morelos is capable of making something from nothing, we've seen it time and again.  In this sort of game he has the ability to make something for himself.

Our problems today had nothing to do with a striker!

Don't agree at all, if Morelos played do you think the chances of winning the game would have improved or stayed the same?  For me if Morelos played we would be far, far more potent up front today.

I'd like another striker in. Even if these situations are extreme (No Morelos or Stewart), we do need something different.

But, I'm not going to blame that on this performance. We've been awful since the restart, and I think we've been fortunate to not lose more points.

Aribo was the only player that did well today; and Goldson. The rest were terrible -- even Davis, who's usually so dependable, couldn't even make a simple 5 yard pass.

This is why I don't get why we never brought in someone like Shankland or the other lad at Dunfermline, sometimes you just need options to change up the game.  Shankland at least offers an opportunity to head the ball too.

  5. Think Defoe hasn't had much to go on and hasn't done much wrong.  Really disappointed with Kent today, doesn't seem to have the normal fire in him.  At one point he got the ball nicked off him and he just stopped and didn't make any attempt to fight for it.

Goldson having a good game thankfully.

  6. I'm talking about the several

posts before I posted.  Perhaps I read them incorrectly, but I don't think I did.

Anti-Irish, anti-catholic, these things are unfortunately associated with some of our support.  I mean there's even a sarcastic response to my post that I'm apparently feeling sympathetic for a stereotypical representation of Irish people that some people love to talk about.

Conversely, I think if it wasn’t for the offensive anti-British stuff coming from Ireland I don’t think anyone here would give a crap about the Irish or their country.

Well I’ve lived here for over 3 years now and I’ve yet to experience any anti-British stuff.

  8. Campbell sounded like an exciting signing for sure, not easy to pick up young strikers with potential for a food price.

But I really feel like we have a squad capable of going all the way if we don't get serious injuries.  We don't have the depth that Celtic do, but I think we have a first team squad to match or better them this season.  Have to hand it to Gerrard, what a brilliant job he has done so far.
