Change my mind: Gio is far better at setting up an energetic, aggressive team that pushes up against the opponent than a defensive one set up to contain. Its too bad his mentality doesn't seem to match his qualities.

Yeah, I agree. There was zero belief in the team that we could get anything from the match and we were just so passive. The match passed us by before we even realised we were in it. I want to see more passion and energy from the team, even in these difficult ties.

I’m surprised people think the team gave a good effort though. I didn’t see it, I don’t think the score line is unexpected but I didn’t see any passion or energy in the team, and that is a huge fault. We’ve got to this stage and we’ve played with all the energy of a wet fart.

See the setup has now changed and we actually seem to be up for a proper game all of a sudden. Honestly, I think Gio sets up a poor defensive team, he should just fuxking go for it.

I really don't see any case for any more disharmony in the dressing room than there was last year. I just think Gio doesnt have the chops to motivate nor can he get out team playing exciting football. I guess we'll see, the writing is on the wall for him regardless.

That could just be a lack of motivation from the players and manager though. Gio doesn't come across as particularly inspiring or motivating. I really don't think he's lost the dressing room, the fans yes but we are extremely fickle.

Sorry, have I missed something? How has he lost the dressing room? He's just taken the team to a Europa League final and he's qualified for the CL groups, I really don't think he's lost the dressing room.

I saw him on the free agent list a couple of weeks ago. His recent playing history is shocking, constantly injured. A perfect signing for us.
