What's going on with Tillman? Is it another medical team masterstroke?

Poor. Why can't we just do simple games?

That was a wee beauty of a move from Colak.

Accurate one touch passing and actual movement in the forward areas, this is very refreshing.

Sakala deserved that, he's been the centre of all forward play. I don't know what to make of the guy, throws away a goal a few minutes ago but scores that one.

That is a honking miss by Sakala, but I have to say he's looked really lively.

Our midfield is actually dynamic with these three.

I think that's the case with Tillman, not sure about Lundstrum though.

Very happy with that team, let's see what Colak can do in a Beale team. We need to see if he can lead the line next season.

It's not the same as what Gio said. Gio said we can't compete, Beale is saying we have to compete. It's not the same.

It's the truth though, they will outspend us.

Lundstrum has made an arse out of it suggesting it is one game where we didn't turn up. We've been living this for most of a decade.

That's pretty shocking

Titter.
Neither you did.
You know when a discussion breaks down into semantics it's not worth carrying on.

You're implying that the only alternative to additional investment is hoping for the best.
That is not the case and it should be obvious.
We can make better use of existing resources. This should be a pre-requisite to investment. Additional money without improvement would be like pouring petrol onto a bonfire.
No I'm not implying that, I'm saying that assuming Celtic will perform worse as part of the future strategy is not wise. You have to assume they are going to keep going as they are and plan properly to account for that.

Nothing you have said here answers the point.
You assume that they will continue to make good decisions.
No reason to assume that.
Is it not better to assume they keep making good decisions and plan accordingly, rather than just hoping for the best?

After a good look at this I wondered about both ours & the other mobs squad value.
Rangers 138.95 million euro
The other mob 104.60 million euro
That's because we have 280 players worth 500 grand in our squad.

I'm more angry about this now and my thinking of the future team is changing. I actually think we need to renew McGregor's contract, we are in danger of losing everyone who knows what it means to play and fight for rangers. We can't have players with:
- Fear (Barasic)
- Apathy (Kamara)
- Complacency (Morelos)
We need players that understand every game, every cup is a must win. I think the only player in the squad that knows that is McGregor.
For better or worse in the short term we need to clear out the squad almost completely. My fear is that the attitude of the players rubs off on to new signings and we end up in this horrible circle with an absolute lack of ambition. It's been too long now, we have a squad of serial losers and it's time most of them moved on.

This seasons stats look awful, and I don't think they've even included all the injuries in this

Apparently our summer signings have been unavailable for 43% of all our games this year. It makes sense, but I feel like we've been living with this injury situation for 20 years or longer now and it's only got worse over time. There has to be something fundamentally wrong at the club, surely?

I don't even get the debate here.
We have a squad of players who have continually failed to deliver trophies. The new manager brings in new players but didn't pick them for a cup final.
Celtc aren't very good but by doing things like not picking our best players we are helping them to keep winning.
Beale has done okay, so far but today he had a chance to win a trophy and made an arse of it.
I agree that the debate here is not understandable. Either we signed players in the winter break to improve the 1st team or we bought filler for the squad. If Raskin was fit then why wouldn't we play him for our most important game of the season, particularly given the incredibly poor form of Kamara? This seems to have been Beale's first big misstep, relying on the same old players, we won't get anywhere like that because we all know the same old players have generally come off worse to Celtic.
It's not something I'm going to castigate Beale for, he's going to need a couple more windows to change the team, but if we keep playing the same old regulars despite signing new players then there is absolutely no point.

Tillman is capable of being a game changer ,it was deflating today to see him underperform .
Also disappointing to see Barisic' basic ball control completely desert him in front of goal ,you get chances like that you've got to take them.
I'd have taken a punt on Arfield at some point in the second half, he knows the fixture, would've mixed things up a bit, and is no stranger to scoring off the bench.
Tillman is young and it showed today that he isn’t the finished article, he seemed so pumped up that he lost his composure. However, it doesn’t change my opinion of him, we need to sign him up.

I presume Kamara and Lundstrum were played out of necessity

We've scored, but I missed it, what happened? Is it because I said id wave goodbye to Morelos?

What madness compelled Beale to leave out that midfield in the Cup?
