Yeah we are doing what we normally do because he polarises the support, undervaluing him, he is worth more than 10 million to us, we would need to go some way to replace him and the goal/assists he has provided.

I can see Hardie leaving, he really is at the stage of his career where he needs to be playing every week, same goes for Shankland, if he was to come to us he would be 3rd in the pecking order, we need a guy in his prime right now, stiffeling these guys development won't help them in the long run and to be honest they probably aren't good enough for us for the time being. With Hardie I think he should move on to somewhere where he is guaranteed first team football, pity we couldn't have first option to buy him back if there was a deal to be had. With Shankland if they do go for him, get him straight back out to Ayr, give Gerrard time to evaluate him over the summer and if he thinks he is good enough keep him round the squad, if not let him go out on loan again to somewhere he will be playing every week. I like the look of Sol, he does offer something a bit different to Lafferty and Morelos (he looks good in the air and looks a bit more composed), we really need guys that will push the first team players if we want to kick on.

If we are serious about a challenge we need to be looking at guys like Davies and Solanke, guys like Kamara, Shinnie, Jones etc won't get us any further forward this season, although I do agree with buster, Jones might be worth a punt on a bosman for next season

Maybe a bit harsh on Namouchi, he did play his part in a title winning side, Mcleish did turn him in to a bit of a donkey though. Aird was good for about 3 or 4 games until everyone knew what he was going to do, again, came with a lot of hype but never lived up to it

Great preview Frankie, I'm so glad internationals are over and we are back to the good stuff. The run of games up to Christmas are going to be interesting, like you say, if we are in touch or above Celtic by the time the old firm comes round I hope we can lay down a marker and give them a tanking ( i'd settle for a 1-0 scrappy OG). Get some bodies in the door in January, like many, I have a feeling Sadiq will be away and there was a storey in the news a few weeks ago we are looking to bring 4 in, that would be a good boost to the squad Although there are a lot of changes within the squad, this year I think we have a manager who is mentally more capable than anyone we have had in recent history, his determination and drive will be a big factor in the next month, we need Celtic to have a bit of a wobble again though, it was evident from the start of the season, and his time at Liverpool that Rodgers doesn't like bad press and really struggles with the mental side of the game if things aren't going their way. The squad is also really strong, I hope Middleton and Grezda play on Saturday, particularly Grezda as it looks like he is starting to get up to speed and we can see why Gerrard bought him, would be good to give Kent some game time to get him back up to speed also. I hope McCauley gets a game as well, I think he could be invaluable for the rest of the season if he can stay fit. Livi are going to be tough to break down, they will probably have 2 banks of 5 if we are being honest, the wide pitch might work in our favour though, stretch the game, I'm going 3-0.

It's not that bad Mac, but he maybe just needs to take a breath, the thing that's been good about our right side is the partnership between tav and candias, candias has been a bit off the last few games as well, I think the international break came at the wrong time for us, so we maybe need to mix it up a bit to get folk back on their toes again. The free kicks and corners need to be shared around if the primary taker is having an off day. The deadball has been a curse for us for a fair number of years I couldn't tell you the last time we had a deadball specialist.

Agree Bill, we have been looking for balance for a long time, it's never going to come, there is more money to be made from a negative rangers storey than any other, its keeping these arseholes in a job. Grant should be pulled up though, there is no way Morelos was offside, that's just false, if he thinks that's the case he shouldn't be reporting on sport. Yeah McCauley will be good in terms of experience for our centre half's, he will be able to play in reserve games as well won't he, if that's the case it will be good for the youngsters as well, as you say he is a boyhood fan, win win for us if the outlay isn't that big. We have a good squad now, defensively we look pretty strong, I think we are still pretty light up front, but we ,may address that in January. What is the money from the Share Issue going to fund, will that be additional transfer money, have we included the expected income from merchandise in the transfers.
