  1. agreed, the only thing that concerns me about Bruno Alves is he can be overly physical at times which is why he's picked up his fair share of red cards and that would concern me in a match against them...
  2. Scotland defender Christophe Berra is to leave Ipswich Town when his contract expires in the summer. The club say the 32-year-old wants to return north in order to spend more time with his daughter. Berra, who has 35 caps, moved to England in 2009 to join Wolves, then managed by Mick McCarthy, who also took him to Ipswich in 2013. "It's a situation we have been aware of for some time," McCarthy told the Ipswich website. Ipswich had the option to extend Berra's deal for a further 12 months, but agreed not to take it up to allow him to return closer to home. The centre-back made 185 appearances for Ipswich, scoring 14 goals. "He is not doing anything devious, he just wants to spend more time with his daughter and anyone with family can respect that," McCarthy added. "Christophe has been fantastic for us. He has been one of the best defenders in the Championship over the last four years and I didn't want to lose him, but I understand fully why he wants to go back closer to home and we wish him well." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39855613 I can't see him going anywhere except Hearts, Aberdeen or Rangers.... Would you take him??
  3. How do you know this? Its reassuring if true, but I would have thought this is something the club would have released a statement about if there were so many added...... On the flip side, I would have rather they got the DoF in first to structure this scouting department, somebody with actual knowledge of a working scouting setup Not saying you're making it up or anything, just interested to know how you know, sad as it is, I'm quite excited to know they are actually hiring scouts...
  4. Rangers 2 v 1 Partick FGS - Waghorn
  5. Seconded, can somebody explain that reference?
  6. Don't think the media are going to have an easy ride with Mr. PC...
  7. Thats a toughie, each with pros and cons... Windass - Good pace but far too inconsistent so you don't know what you're going to get. Dodoo - Good pace and seems clinical enough but not sure if he brings enough when not playing thought the middle. Waghorn - Can't question his effort and will to win but can be so wasteful and error prone.
  8. This is one of the things that has annoyed me, we should have been looking for the DoF with the same urgency as we were before the manager was appointed.. Its not in PC's remit to set up a scouting system and had this DoF been in place swiftly, this scouting system could have been at least partially set up in advance of the end of the season/opening of the transfer window... If the delay is because they can't find the right person then I can more than understand that as I would prefer the right DoF, however, it seems its just been thrown onto the 'Will deal with it later when there is time' pile.
  9. He's got a reputation for playing the victim card...
  10. Effectively sentences him to an early retirement.

  12. I'm confident we're going to lose 2, maybe even 3 centre backs in the summer so this has got to be the priority for me. Senderos and Hill are out of contract and don't see them being renewed, I also don't see Kiernan being kept unless we can't find somebody else. Midfield, we have the returning Rossiter and Kranjcar (assuming both stay fit of course) which will be like new signings. Up top, think Kenny will be moving on, and if not, spending more time on the bench as I can't see PC not signing a CF when his team is based around high pressure.
  13. OK, thats fine, if its only a yellow card offence, it doesn't change the fact that Jack should have been sent off. His preceeding challenge was a yellow card on its own, plus the so called 'rutting stags' is another yellow, and what do 2 yellows make.......
  14. I'm really excited to see how this team gets on tomorrow night. The only thing that worries me, however, is that I do expect some more injuries after this game before Sunday. I don't think its any coincidence that we picked up so many injuries after having the players in and training hard everyday of the international break, also, training exercises that maybe they're not used to. I understand and fully agree with PC for doing it but this is always the risk that comes with it. Add in the plastic pitch, which 99% of professionals say is more likely to cause injury and I think we could be looking at another few enforced substitutions. Obviously, I hope i'm wrong
  15. Very true, hopefully we can make a pretty penny of some of the 'deadwood', however, I feel that may be being greedy
  16. I believe Tavernier was just suspended at the weekend so I would expect he will return to the starting line-up and Hodson will probably move to cover Wallace's absence
  17. *cough* *cough* Kris Boyd (1st time around) Couldn't agree more... I don't feel he would be expensive and would be a valuable option to have, even if just as a squad player
  18. Liverpool 2-0 Everton Burnley 1-2 Tottenham Chelsea 3-0 Crystal Palace Hull 2-2 West Ham Leicester 2-0 Stoke Man Utd 1-1 West Brom Watford 2-0 Sunderland Southampton 2-0 Bournemouth Swansea 2-0 Middlesboro Arsenal 1-2 Man City
  19. haha, nicely put
  20. Not much quality there, I think Sam Nicholson is worth a look at. though.. On a free, its a relatively small risk for a good young Scottish player
  21. Happy birthday!
  22. I believe at 11am
  23. I can just see it, fast attacking from a front 3 of myself, Francisco Sandaza and Kevin Kyle, dubbed KLS scoring more goals than MSN at Barcelona
