  1. Pena, to me, is the pivot point for counter attacks, he's the key part forme. He gets a lot of abuse for poor passing etc, but if you actually look at the passes he gets abuse for, its the killer ball he's attempting, very rarely does he pass backwards or sideways and to be fair, the position he's in, thats exactly what you're looking for!
  2. I'm surprised Cardoso didn't get sent off in that incident considering what Tav did merited a yellow
  3. Its a problem now because if Pittodrie was 'suitable', Milne would lose one of his main justifications for a new stadium.....
  4. The female reporter was clearly trying to drum up some kind of trouble with Neil Lennon as the aim of her questions were obvious and she did the same in the Bruno Alves press conference I'm glad both brushed clearly over it without a second thought
  5. I was at position number 1 for about half an hour when I tried to cancel it... When I finally got through and cancelled, the operator tried to make me stay by telling me that the 'International Champions Cup' would be on the channel. When I said no because its a tournament of friendlies so its not worth watching and I'm only interested in Rangers, he got really upset and started name dropping the top players and couldn't understand why I wouldn't want to watch it....
  6. Foderingham - 6 Hodson - 6 Cardoso - 7 Alves - 7 Wallace - 6 Jack - 6 Dorrans - 8 Candeias - 6 Windass - 7 Miller - 6 Herrera - 7 Subs : Tavernier - 5 Wilson - 5 Morelos - 5
  7. I've always thought, the best way to start dealing with this kind of thing, is when a newspaper has to issue an apology, they should be forced to publish the apology in the same location and the same size as the original 'fakenews' piece.. So if they want to make the whole back page a story that they eventually have to retract or apoloigise for, then they would need to make the apology take up the whole back page.. That, to me, would make a lot of msm at least a little more careful about what they are publishing.....

  9. Difficult one, new manager might want rid of him to get some funds in so he can get some of his own style players in. Again, the board might want rid of him to fund a new manager, or be able to promise transfer money to any prospective new manager.
  10. From some of the stuff I saw when we were first linked/signing him, it sounded like, for the past few seasons, his head turned a bit in Mexico and his performance suffered, maybe he needs just that little bit longer to get back into his groove and focused on his football than previously thought...
  11. Especially to go to a lesser league as well.....
  12. I would also be very, very surprised if Hearts, a club looking for money to finance the shortfall on their new stand, were to offer Walker a contract to make him the highest paid player at their club, bearing in mind they have just signed Lafferty and Berra who will not be on small wages by any means.....
  13. Walter Zenga and Bruce Arena were both goalkeepers I believe. Also, the current Wolves manager Nuno was a GK and he's a fairly decent manager, has a good reputation anyway, but it is indeed very rare they make managers... I believe most go on to be coaches, if they stay in the game at all

    Friendlies

English clubs still in the very early stages of pre-season training so i'm sure there would be a couple that could have a match arranged at relatively short notice, however, as rbr quite rightly says, most will be all scheduled so may not be the most glamourous of ties. After last week, not sure glamour is what we are looking for anyway.....
  15. We should be looking to ship out O'Halloran as part of a swap deal as I would have thought any team in the top league bar them and the sheep would want him... Is there anyone at Partick we want? Send him to Hearts as part of the Walker deal?
  16. Chinese rules have been tightened up so ridiculous transfer fees are likely to be a thing of the past.. Can't remember the exact detail but the Chinese FA basically said what ever you pay in transfer fees, you have to pay the same amount to grass roots or something like that..... So, if for example they paid £90 million, they would effectively end up with an outlay of £180 million. Although, not sure if theres anything to stop them paying outrageous wages to out of contract players.

  18. I think, going by PC's past decisions, there are really only two possible variations of this line-up that PC would go for... That being, Waghorn out, straight swap for Morelos or, Candeias in for Waghorn and then Miller through the middle with Candeias on the right. I personally think you've got it spot on with the line-up but, a 1-0 lead away in Europe is not the time to start experimenting/taking risks..... A couple of early goals would give us that freedom, but from the start, its all about getting the job done and dusted asap
  19. I guess this is another player like Rossiter and Dodoo where we only have to pay £250,000 for him as its cross border?
  20. why would a player wear green football boots full stop
