I would say, defenders are probably more at risk for “impact” injuries and attackers from muscular injuries as attackers are usually running and defenders are usually hitting

I'm pretty sure they will get bonuses for staying in the prem, qualifying for Europe, finishing in the top 4, getting to cup quarter-finals etc as well, so to an extent it will go both ways but with the huge drop off in revenue for the club, I don't think they have a choice but to put those cluases in players contracts. I think the best example is somebody like Jack Rodwell, who refused to leave Sunderland when they were relegated from the prem because he couldn't get the same wage elsewhere. Sunderland got relegated again but he was still on £70k+ while they were in League 1 and eventually just ran his contract down Ironically, the MD/DOF equivalent at Sunderland at the time....... Players dropping from the prem to the championship tend to have it written in their contract that they will get a minimum of 40-50% wage reduction, although, would still probably be on more money than we gave him

If you think a large proportion of young players come to Rangers from outside Scotland to spend the rest of their career here, I would be very surprised. The only mistake he has made, is making the comment in a newspaper, but as previously mentioned, he's probably not aware of the goldfish bowl...
