  1. I can't see how anyone can disagree with those sentiments. I've been pretty harsh with my criticism of Barry, but he has to stand up and be counted in the big games and he doesn't do it. As far as I'm concerned he's had enough chances.
  2. Really hope he doesn't go and would love to see him at Ibrox.
  3. I think we should tell Lafferty to GTF and pull out the cheque book and sign Deco. He's looking for a club and he's exactly what we need. He's been outstanding at the EUROs. Not that he would even consider it but you can dream!
  4. I think Walter is responding to the criticism for last seasons negative tactics. Mcgregor in goal, King Carlos at the back and 9 strikers. You score 3 we'll score 184!!
  5. What places? Divulge your sources.:box:
  6. In this day and age your full backs need to be as comfortable going forward as defending. That's what lets Papac down. On the plus side his covering for his centre halves is exceptional.
  7. If he's gonna playI want him to stay, he'll score goals. If he's gonna stay on the bench except against St Mirren and Hamilton then take the money.
  8. PAPAC IS A CENTRE HALF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. I really think it's a wee bit early to be getting excuses and whinges i. If we can't handle a few tough games at the start of the season when everyone is fresh then we might as well give up. As we pointed out when the Mhanky Mhob were whinging about the 2 OF games at Ibrox, they had the advantage later in the season of 2 at porkheid when they needed them.
  10. I was thinking the 'Isn't that the Peoples Front of Judea' 'No, that's the Judean Peoples Front' 'SPLITTERS!!' This scene. Sorry to digress.
  11. To be honest, wage-wise he would be way out our range.
  12. Your the one who thinks he suits blue. I'm getting worried about you Jon.
  13. Well, why else would you want him here?? Does the blue set off his eyes
  14. To be honest, I hope he doesn't. I hope he comes to Ibrox. I would love to see Thuram in a Rangers shirt for a season.
  15. Exactly, it was a while ago. And it's been a while since they have anything. And you're saying they were wrold class - that's exactly what Thuram is. That's why I can see Wenger's thoughts behind the move.
  16. I think Wenger realises that he needs a bit of an experienced backbone in his team. That's always been there until recently. He didn'y have to sign Adams, Keown, Bergkamp they were already there, but their age never stopped him playing them.
  17. Be interesting to see if he could cut it in the Premiership. Also, the fact he hasn't played in England might be a big attraction for him.
  18. Aye, who wouldn't want to be managed by Monsieur Le Guen!!!
  19. And you could argue, Is Broadfoot not a centre half??
  20. Started off at right back and spent many years there. Nearly left Juve because they wanted him to stay at right back, but he wantedto play centre half. I've always thought he's best on the right - in his pomp, can't thik of any I've seen there better.
  21. But Ribery is French!!!:admin:
  22. I don't think Lafferty is being signed as a striker. Now, never having seen the boy play I could be well wide of the mark, but I have a Lee McCulloch feeling about this lad.
  23. That's my feeling Jon. There's controversial then there's.......
  24. I think that someone could be Miller. As long as we don't expect him to match Boyd goal for goal and as long as Smith does't use him as a lone striker, he could be decent signing.
  25. Midfield three ----------Sneijder-------Deco----------VanderVaart Upfront-----------------Robben--------Miller---------Podolski That would work!
