  1. Linked with him on 6th June
  2. Sure he was mentioned a few weeks ago as a possbile target. It all went quiet, possibly because the Loovens swap deal looked like it may happen, that deal may have died so this one was picked up.
  3. West Ham haven't a bloody hope Gribz. If they make it into the top 10 I'll be stunned! Forgot about Man City though.
  4. You're right I think 2 battles, Man U and Chelski for 1st and Liverpool and the Arse for 3rd. Then Blackburn, Villa, Spurs, Pompey and Everton behind them. Anyone below that has a fair chance of getting drawn into relegation battles.
  5. Aye with Liverpool 6th and Everton in 3rd.
  6. Dos Santos, Modric and Bentley. Possibly Arshavin and Pavyluchenko to come. They may not win anything, but I think Spurs will be fantastic entertainment this year.
  7. That's assuming we get there!!
  8. Cannae wait. European games, the sheepies, OF match all in August. That's the way to start a season.
  9. Graham Roberts The Conductor
  10. Isn't that what John Barnes said about Rafael Scheidt? Having said that, he does look a good player, but prone to taking a wee risk or two. Should be, at least, entertaining.

    Downtime

Pah, downtime, just not good enough!
  12. Amato was a cracking player. Shame it never really worked out for him here.
  13. Heerenveen seem to be the ones now. They seem to have had a fair few over the last few years.
  14. Get yer Rangers players, 2 for a pound!!
  15. I guess this is now a no-go thanks to the signing of Bougherra.
  16. 'uncomprimising'. Now that's a word I like to hear when talking about a centre half. I know nothing about the guy, but we needed another centre half (although from what I've heard Kirk hasn't looked to bad there). Just as long as it's a partner for Carlos, not a replacement.
  17. Christ, Bob was older than I thought :fish:
  18. On the contrary, Walter has to be seen by all, both inside and outside the club, as the leader and manager and the opposition to Millers could have weakened his position and standing. He was right to say what he said.
  19. So who has Walter to consult before buying a player? The board, a supporters representative, season ticket holders, fan club members? He'll live and die by his decisions as Rangers manager our job as supporters is to support! Of course we can have opinions, but until we're on the payroll they don't count, Walters do.
  20. Nah, just me :fish:
  21. At the end of the day, it is his opinion that matters. He's the one that'll get sacked if he fails - we won't.
  22. Barton speaks; "The first day's the toughest, no doubt about it. They march you in, hand you your uniform and force you to pose for the photographer while loads of fat, tattooed, skinheads shout abuse at you. That's when you know it's for real. A whole life blown away in the blink of an eye. Nothing left but all the time in the world to think about it. That's when it hits home. That's when you realise you've signed for Newcastle."
  23. That was made very clear WE HAVE A GREAT IDEA NEW STADIUM, MILLIONS OF SEATS, BLAH BLAH BLAH but that might not happen we have other ideas too
  24. But Newcastle have invested a lot of money in him. Their bank balance obviously takes preference over principles.
  25. Not sure which side of the fence you're on here Gribz? I feel Barton has had more than just a second chance. Incidents in training, incidents whilst out on the piss etc. He's a rotten apple and I think Newcastle should make a stand.
