Watched the 5-1 game where Flo made his debut yesterday. The battle between Amoruso and Sutton was fantastic and how neither had a red card by half time I don't know. I have a feeling that saturday may be a belter. I think Boyd will be putting it about as will Davies, Broadfoot and BF. I think they will be up for it as well - I can foresee many cards and many goals. Really looking forward to it, but don't ask for a prediction.

Don't know much about Tonel, but Stranzl would be a good signing I think.

I was meaning in the immediate term. If he is to go in January, we won't be in the position to offer him European football so the Premiership might seem more immediately appealing. Had it been the last couple of years where we went into the New Year with European football still on the go, that would surely have been a selling point.

The sad thing is, even if we did chase berra, he would probably choose going to the premiership. That's where the cash and glamour is. It's not like we can offer him european football!

That's what I normally do, but this season - 3 times I think - I've had money on a team in the top 2 or 3 playing to a team who are in the bottom 2 or 3 and that's the game that has cost me. No guarentees!!

I'm asuming that Gio was someone Advocaat was aware of when he took over. Someone like Boumsong was fairly well known around Europe at the time he signed. But to be honest, I think our European run last year may actually have put players off coming. They will have looked at the style of football and thought stuff that, I'm not going there! -
For all he isn't quite the ultimate striker, I think the improvement in Boyd's game this season has been fantastic. And his goal yesterday was a peach.

To those who are defending Ferguson. When was the last time he did something worthwhile in a Rangers shirt? When was the last time he put together 2 or 3 performances in a row where you thought 'Oh, he's a player.' Probably before he left for Blackburn.

It should be remembered that Murray had faith in Smith when Souness left and gave him his first managerial job. He also gave Paul le Guen 'Europe's hottest young manager' a guy with a fantastic CV a shot. Look which one of those two worked out best.
