  1. I won't believe anyone has signed till Willie Vass has a photo up.
  2. Davie weir. I could be wrong, but I think he was into his twenties before he turned pro.
  3. I think they see the number of games they would need to play as a hindrance to reaching the top 4 and all the champions league money. For a team like Fulham, who don't really have that aspiration, it's not such an issue hence they did so well.
  4. Would take him in a shot!
  5. Haven't really seen him play, but surely the fact that Man City are only willing to let him leave on loan bodes well for his quality. From the comments on here, I'm thinking a Buffel type player?
  6. I hope villa stuff them anyway. Austrian fuckwits!!
  7. It may not have, but I would rather the deal fell flat with five weeks of the window to go than one or two. The way Rapid have handled it has been very unsavoury, but they know we are gagging for him which gives them licence to dick us about. If we had an effective scouting system in place we could identify other targets and move on, leaving them £4 million poorer with an unhappy player. That will probahly still be the case, but we are probably going to end up without a player.
  8. I never saw the game, so can't judge that, however I don't think we've signed Messi here. But I do think we've signed a decent striker who will get 20-25 goals in the league this season. As mentioned, he's brought in to replace Boyds goals and I think he will.
  9. You would think that, wouldn't you. The all-out way we've held out for him suggests otherwise though. If there is another target then we are leaving it very late to get him in an integrated into the team. I've said for years I despair of our scouting system. Surely we should have several targets and once the Jelavic deal started to go south - when they added 1.5 millionth the asking price - we should have moved on. The whole episode has been embarrassing and amateurish, although rangers can't be held responsible for the current sticking point, had we just gone in with an appropriate bid, it could've been tied up weeks ago.
  10. I think it's concluded already. I don't think we'll be seeing him in a rangers shirt.
  11. Didn't they just draw the captaincy out a hat for a while?
  12. Pavlyuchenko's goal was a peach. Think spurs will go through now.
  13. Every timmy I've spoken to over the last three seasons claim he's the best centre half they've got. It's strange
  14. Anelka had already said he was retiring from internationals. Don't look like he's got much choice now.
  15. I've got him in for a double ;-)
  16. Rangers 5 (miller 2, Beattie 2 ;-), Naismith) Killie 0
  17. And maybe that's why the standard of football everywhere is that much poorer these days than it once was. Take a striker who struggles to score, he's on a big wage so we play him, make him a winger. the demise of the winger + the growth of 'complete forward' = the death of entertainment
  18. Is it ok to call people who aren't footballers twats? :fish: Lafferty's poor decisions may have been put down to lack of maturity by some, but that's not how I see it. Some people, not just footballers, are twats.
  19. Can't you just pay full price. Tight cunt :-)
  20. I think he would do well. I'm slightly concerned noone at rangers is talking to each other and we may end up signing half a dozen strikers!!
  21. Can't remember which year it was, but Vanoli was a cracking signing when he was at parma.
  22. Dan Eggen and Jerome Bonnisell. Another couple of wallopers!!!
  23. Vanoli wasn't that bad. Capucho was awful.
  24. It'll be Webster and Cockwell if they're both fit. Or possibly McAnus.
  25. Teams pish, sack the manager!!!!
