I look forward to the day Castore are history, collection after collection all the same product with a different colour arrangement. Overpriced and very little for the older gentlemen with a more relaxed figure.

Think I'll manage to resist, as I did with the framed picture celebrating our record home defeat and the official doormat that let's you clean the dog shit from your broon brogues on to our crest. I think Gerald Ratner may be mentoring Bisgrove behind the scenes

Scottish cup, gate is split after operating costs for host and SFA cut. Also, ticket pricing is agreed by both host and visitor. So it's not just SJ that's chasing the blue pound.

If its any consolation, I just asked him privately and I'm still lost

Iirc, and I may be wrong, but didn't the approach to castore not relate to the elite/Hummel jv rather than specifically the castore deal? In so much as castore were perhaps party to the status of this contract which was, as far as elite were concerned still valid.

I wouldn't want to sit near the UB, but that's because I'm a moaning faced intolerant old arse hole. Not so old as I cannot remember what it was like to be young, enthusiastic and driven though. The UB do a fantastic job with their TIFOs and marches, they are the only source of atmosphere in our stadium. They are organised and structured, do a fantastic job of funding their projects and deserve wider backing imo.

https://therangerscollection.com/ A stunning personal collection, made public for the first time. Welcome to The Rangers Collection, a website dedicated to displaying a vast amount of memorabilia and artefacts associated with the club from one privately held collection. With the clubs 150th Anniversary in mind, the owner of this collection wanted to create a shared space where Rangers supporters could view a chronological history of the club through a whole range of rare, and not so rare items associated to the club. This website is a work in progress, and will be for some time. Some categories have yet to be populated, and almost all categories have items still to be added. I will work through it as and when work and family life allows. I have decided to publish what I can just now as I wanted to give fellow supporters another medium through which they could view other items of the clubs rich and proud heritage in this historic year.

Inaccurate response, withdrawn. Got my numbers confused. Double stints and whatnot, was just pedantry anyway

IMO, we cannot stabilise finances and satisfy expectations whilst we operate in the current environment. The CL is a monkey on our backs and pushes us towards an unrealistic budget in the pursuit of sporadic revenue. That model cannot succeed in a 2 horse race, one nag will get its nose in front and the runner up gets peanuts despite spending more than it will earn in second place. CL is designed for big 5 teams, it rewards big 5 teams and throws buttons at the rest of us. Meanwhile, we can't afford not to overspend or our rivals will be in a 1 horse race. Its not healthy for either team, not good for Scottish football and results in humiliation and profligacy. We should withdraw from CL and so should every FA outwith the B5. Give them the super league they want. Reduce the impact of failure and we could operate within our means, expectations managed realistically and our facilities and infrastructure would benefit from this freedom. We are chasing rainbows nowadays and the consequences are there for all to see. -

Multiple issues require addressing and have been brought into sharp focus due to a combination of injuries and probably the worst possible CL group draw. These factors have served to highlight our deficiencies. Seems to me that all our current problems can be labelled as symptomatic of poor strategy at every level. Squad that lacks quality, hasn't been bolstered by effective recruitment and contains far too many stale players well past their best. Add to that a lack of self belief and what appears to be a disconnect between the coaching staff and squad. It cannot be easy for our board, trying to balance player budgets and capital expenditure on facilities that have been neglected for donkeys. I don't envy them at all. Nevertheless it looks to me that high level planning has perhaps focused too much on stadium and training centre projects and gambled that the playing side could do enough to buy time for finances to stabilise. Effective strategy requires clear goals and the prioritisation of the basic product. Prime focus should be the team, coaches, recruitment and squad management, take care of that and the finances will come to allow infrastructure outlay. Our board have made mistakes that will take time and money to resolve in an environment not conducive to patience. They need to start communicating and explaining, how much has been spent over the last few years on infrastructure? Was this outlay critical and unavoidable? Despite current circumstances do they have a steady hand on the tiller? Candid answers may buy them some understanding and time to redress. More bluster and platitudes will not suffice. -

Played both legs v Leeds 67/68 fairs. Stein played v Newcastle 68/69 fairs, don't know if strawberry hooter was on the bench but probably was. V Leeds in 92, again no idea, manure had been pumped out of Europe by then so he had a couple of free nights so might have dragged himself out of the bookies to see a decent team.
