i aint sure of gomis or conway. the only dundee utd player id go for was david goodwillie. i think he'd be excellent for us.

Aston Villa have distanced themselves from reports that they are close to signing Rangers striker Kris Boyd. It has been claimed Boyd, 26, has spoken to Villa about signing a pre-contract with Martin O'Neill's side but Villa sources today told Press Association Sport that no deal was imminent. Rangers' top scorer, who is currently injured, has been offered a new contract with the Clydesdale Bank Premier League leaders, with his existing one due to expire in the summer. He has also been linked with moves to Middlesbrough and Birmingham, with the latter coming close to landing the forward a year ago when talks broke down over personal terms. Rangers agreed to sell him at that stage due to the club's financial difficulties, but manager Walter Smith has insisted he is under no pressure to offload players. Smith is keen to tie Boyd up on a longer deal, while assistant Ally McCoist has said the club "would be crazy" not to try to keep him. Last month saw Boyd break Henrik Larsson's all-time SPL goals record of 158 when he netted five in a 7-1 demolition of Dundee United. That took his tally to the season to 19 goals, with his partnership with Kenny Miller contributing 31 to Rangers' SPL title bid. Boyd underwent hernia surgery in Manchester last week and is expected to be out until the middle of next month. The strike partnership of Boyd and Kenny Miller has produced 31 SPL goals so far this season, with Boyd contributing 19. from sportinglife.

IMO rothen never had the stomach for scottish footie. he probs seen a few of the meaty challenges dished out and shat himself. same with most french players that played for us or in the spl they can't seem to cut it up here.

1.5m is gonna even touch the debt we have. so why entertain that rangers should put his value as high as possible say 6-8m so no -one touches him in this window. then we can hopefully agree a contract and if we want to sell him, we can in the summer for a lot more than 1.5m or the cynic in me thinks boyds form has something to do with having 6months on his contract left. remember loverpants playing extremly well knowing his contract was up and sum extents with beasley aswell world cup comming up and contract expiring making him play well. one thing we need this boyd situation sorted ASAP

is anyone else sick of Boughie hoaring himself to the prem every minute he can get , really starting to get on my goat same every few seasons we get a great defender which simply doesnt want to be here i really want players commited to the cause and these player should realise the grass isnt always greener and if a prem clubs comes in for boughie it aint gonna be a top4 side , i think he thinks he's a better player than he is. if i was walter id try punt him in january

yeh but that only for next season. if someone wants him now they have to pay some compensation.
