Ask responsible questions, write responsible articles and I don't see a problem. Unfortunately our 'journalists' don't do that which is why the relationship is broken. They sneer at our manager, criticise his open and honest explanations, laugh at him because he is a foreigner and trying to convey ideas to them about football which they clearly don't understand and they print lies. They shouldn't be any where near our club if they can't behave responsibly and we shouldn't be buying there papers or accessing their online sites. In today's multi media world we should easily find other channels and ways to get news out to our fans.

No issue with the cupping of ears but the GIRFUY gesture is provocative and very unprofessional in any other league in the world and could lead to trouble and isn't much of an example to set kids (along with some of the fan aggression towards him). Lennon also got a guy sacked from his job for a 5-1 gesture so him playing the jolly craicster celebration card doesn't stack up for me. He knew what he was doing and there is a real poison towards us which he is playing to and is getting worse. It's never actually people like him or Griffiths who ever suffer as they are protected but these incidents can cause violence away from the ground and therefore need to be dealt with harshly. They also bring the reputation of our abysmal league further into disrepute I don't think we need to make a choice between his actions and the referee as both need to be challenged. i would far rather the club made concise statements on both issues separately observing the problem, making it clear it has been noted and will be added to 'the list' and with a 'what are you going to do about it' to the relevant people. Unfortunately when it comes from a fan group then people can simply point to the behaviour of fans. The club itself does everything to stamp out bad behaviour so could legitimately argue that they need more support from the authorities.

I didn't say he needed to be in Luxembourg. I said this is the most critical rebuilding phase for a decade and he is on holiday. It's clear most folk don't agree with me but I think I am right do we will need to leave it at that. No one is creating an agenda for the sake of it, that is just childish.
-
Point is he should not be in effin holiday at the most crucial time in our recent history.
-
Completely disagree mate. Our biggest game in 6 years and our MD is absent. But you and thousands are there spending your own money. It's called setting an example. It's called leadership.
-
Of course it matters. His job is not to score it is to demonstrate leadership from the top down and rebuild our club after a vacuum of leadership where spins ran our club. We have just spent millions and entering a crucial period and he goes on holiday? ? He would also have known the BTC was being announced and he is on the beach. It is a shocking example of leadership. On the pitch we have players who have appeared unbothered and who lack leadership. And you think it doesn't matter that our MD is on holiday a such a time?
-
Our MD was/is on holiday. The day before the niedercorn game he went on holiday. Unbelievable he does not recognise the overall situation. I am flabbergasted. Never mind paying a fortune on a player, our next big signing has to be a top CEO who can manage and lead the club appropriately.

Channel 4's Alex Thomson promotes Nazi themed rant at Rangers
Walterbear replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Spot on. Social and main stream media will run right over you if you don't hit back in a constructive non offensive manner. Make your presence felt. -
He put the company in liquidation Rab after stripping as much as he could e.g. Arsenal shares. He always intended to do that as his tweet about Murray reveals after the Supreme Court judgement. Green then did the 5 way agreement and deal to buy the club. I wouldn't say they were saviours. Opportunists and scavengers only interested in keeping the patient alive long enough to extract money. The fans and bina fide investors saved Rangers by providing that money. King then got rid of the scavengers. What they did do albeit in their self interest was keep the club alive long enough before oldco is liquidated. If we had not had new owners during liquidation of oldco it may have turned out even worse. I wouldn't bestow the title of saviours on green and Whyte. If the Blue Knights had got the club we'd be much healthier.

Daily Record & Barry Ferguson- Dumber & Dumber
Walterbear replied to BEARGER's topic in Rangers Chat
Barry puts boot into Rangers shock, horror. Hope he's happy with his £300 fee. -
Good questions and sensible perspective after a day of the moonhowlers.

Exactly. And that's why we need the lad Walker. We really need to be in contingency mode should things not work out by end of the first quarter. I'm sure the board will already be thinking this way and Pedro will be aware. Hopefully it will work out but a lot of pressure now on him and how the Mexicans and Columbian in particular perform. I only pick on them because naturally there is a lot of scrutiny on them as they are relatively unknown here and have the additional challenge of adjusting to a new country. I hope the Scottish lads in the team and Alves when he arrives will give them every help to hit the ground running. They will need support on and off the field. It's all become a bit of a test after that abysmal result and performance. Let's do our bit and get behind them. It won't be easy for anyone. One thing I have realised is the only way we will ever shut the moonhowlers up and regain our pride and confidence is to put the ball in the back of the net and beat them on the pitch. Everything else is secondary. We will all need to pull together.

Perhaps it's something the main fan site administrators could get together on and collaborate over a few coffees and pizzas. Work with Rangers Observor, 1872 and the club itself. Make it factual, indisputable, pose the key questions and avoid the histrionics and invective we see too often on sites. I'd actually be more than happy to be involved but I'm not connected with anyone much. I do however know how to write and put a sensible article together given the facts.

Just to remind folk Dundee FC agreed a 6p in the pound CVA and owed HMRC over 400k. You will all remember the hysteria from other fan groups like Aberdeen. I wonder if slavering hypocrite Jim Spence thinks they are cheats too. They were also run by a crooked lawyer. I must admit I can't be bothered putting all this stuff together but it would be a nice wee sticky if someone with an interest did a professional job on all the financial skullduggery and we could post it on all Rangers fan sites. I don't know the details of the other time they went into admin. We also know Hearts dodged 30m+ and busted a Lithuanian bank and like Dundee allegedly laundered cash. . http://www.companyrescue.co.uk/blog/dundee-fc-saved-by-a-cva

I think that has to be the line of defence. The scheme was not illegal at the time and the reason tax is payable is because it is now deemed redirected earnings. LNS made reference to the legality. Today's hearing did not declare it was tax evasion rather tax avoidance. The liquidation process is the means of settling outstanding debts. Every club that has been involved in administration or liquidation processes would have to be deemed as gaining a sporting advantage if Rangers are pursued. You could argue every club which won a trophy whilst in debt gained a sporting advantage unless they had a clear repayment schedule based on projected income.

I don't think he was. He has a chronic condition and therefore requires a theraputic exemption certificate to be issued by UEFA before he plays in a European game. He didn't have one. The application for exemption should detail his condition and show various medical tests that prove he needs the prohibited drugs. This is what they are now doing retrospectively. It would seem there is a case to answer but UEFA will no doubt want a quick turnaround as the next round is next week. It would seem you can take the prohibited drug if it is an emergency but you then still have to go through the exemption process. They didn't do it. Perhaps they did not understand the rules and don't have full time administrators but if he is ineligible UEFA would have to offer Rangers the tie. Either UEFA say you don't have the exemption certificate you are out. Or they accept it retrospectively on the basis he used it in an emergency and now uses a non/prohibited substance. It looks highly suspicious that they have knowingly fielded an ineligible player and have knowingly not followed the correct procedure.
-
Don't think he was banned. It's a banned substance he was found guilty of taking in a Luxembourg league game in May. The asthma drug. The Luxembourg doping authority declared positive tests on June 17th. Niedercorn should have declared his use of this drug which presumably also enhances performances and got approval to play him before the game (I assume he was taking it before the Ibrox game too). Whilst we lost primarily because we were sh**te I suspect if we knocked out a superior club and we had the offending player then their officials would want to get to the bottom of it. When did he take it? What dosage? Doctors evidence? UEFA rules that are applicable? Sanctions that are applicable? We should be treated the same as any other club irrespective of the fact we are an embarrassment and don't deserve to go through.

I understand what you're saying dB and agree to an extent but even in bounce games against a semi pro team I would expect to score more than 1 goal on 180 minutes of football (191 including injury time). That's 3 hours and over 2 legs we created very few chances. We shouldn't be using 2 DMs when we know 1 goal will almost certainly put us through. It was negative in tactics, negative in spirit, negative in skill and forward thinking by the players. We should be able to totally dominate a team like this. It wasn't as if we were unlucky and their goal keeper had a blinder. He hardly had a save to make. The 2 goals we lost were appalling defensively on the left hand side. There was no leadership and organisation on the park. How PC can keep Windass and shift Mackay is beyond me. I might shift both of them but Windass would be first. McKay would have carved holes in this lot. I'm giving PC the first 1/4 of the season because the team do need time to gel. I'm backing him fully until then. If we're not a close second or better to Celtic and we are playing in the same sterile fashion then we have to get someone else in. One positive that may come out of this is it may galvanise the team. If they have character they have 1/4 season to show it. I'm also giving Pena and Herrera a chance and I want to see Alves in with Cordosa. Btw we are far too reliant on krankjar. You can't put everything through one man whose legs are clearly not great even if he is technically our best player. We need more variety. Unfortunately this result and effect on finances may put the kybosh on the Walker deal and we really need him now imo. Depressing night but frankly I didn't think we would get past Limassol for the reasons you say dB. The pressure is on but talk of sacking the manager at this stage is nonsense. It does however put pressure on him. And yes the neds who broke seats should just f*ck off. They are not Rangers fans. They are just scum.

They were happy with the South Korean racist playing for them as well. The older I get the more I dislike that club.

She has no interest in football but seems to know all about 'sevco' in her own words. What is wrong with banning green boots? Have Celtic ever worn blue socks? Does anyone really care. Why mention it if she isn't bothered? Does she seriously believe that WATP is sectarian? I presume she means it is anti-catholic. If Celtic fans want to say they are the people would anyone regard it as anti-Protestant? Some people are clearly bonkers with too much time on their hands.

He's not correct on a key part dB. The previous peoples judgement which counts was not all in favour of Murray. 3 judges were unanimous against him at the CoS and in the upper tier it was 2-1. The reason in respect of tax law was interpreting the trust as 'redirection of earnings' and there was case law to back that up which had not been used at previous hearings. It was not just 'common sense'. I seriously doubt whether an unknown bloke working for Deloitte has a greater grasp of the law than senior judges. The side letters are the fly in the ointment from Murrays perspective. These are basically implying the trust is earnings according to HMRC. Will be interesting to listen in on Wednesday but I'm prepared for the howling lunatics. Let's face it our main interest is title stripping and I think there are good arguments against that course of action irrespective of the judgement (I am sure there will be a thread on it!). How anyone can say we had an unfair sporting advantage based on doing something we were advised was legal at the time is not a sustainable argument to me. Everyone knew we were doing it and there was no intention to deceive so it isn't cheating. It's like Real Madrid declaring they are legally paying their players more than anyone else - no one would say they were cheating. I dont think we should fear this it will just be a pain in the erse. My prediction is they will uphold the judgement unless Thornhills 'rabbit' works but that looked like a last desperate effort tbh. Hope I'm abysmally wrong and will happily take a pasting on here if I am ?

More or less my reflection. Cardozo looks a player tho' albeit not under pressure. Him and Alves should make a good pairing at the back. Little creativity throughout the team and a lack of leadership and control in midfield still a concern. I wouldn't be getting rid of Barrie too hastily. Will make my mind up after first quarter of the season.

The funny thing is with him and the general view of his followers is that Rangers fans are gullible lapping up everything we are told. He continues to spout gross inaccuracies and the followers keep sending him money. ? Btw I wonder what happened to General Ashley's tanks ?? which had apparently been amassing on the battlefield for a year ready to blow Rangers apart. It is high quality entertainment. I hope he doesn't pack it in!

Doesnt affect me but noted on that form 'no related media releases'. Someone should get a bollocking
