  1. To be fair Bonner behaved. The ex bankrupt Miller was beside himself with indignation and seething. He was actually talking about prudent managing of budgets. Bit laughable from a bankrupt. Gordon was his usual smug arrogant self but putting the boot in at every opportunity.
  2. All referrals have to be filtered through Chris Sutton and the BBC Frankie. You should know that by now.
  3. There were 10 players in total after he got sent off. If you go into a confrontation like that here is a chance you will get a red whether it’s justified or not. He may or may not have helped prevent the equaliser. We’ll never know because he wasn’t on the park.
  4. Way I see it Darther if he is on the park and thinking defensively that reduces motherwells chancevto equalise. The whole situation distracted from the guy concentrating on taking a penalty and may not have helped that attempt after all the waiting and also the red card disrupted our players. He should have been thinking it’s the las minute, where is the footballing danger, drop off deeper. Broadfoot is a nobody so why even get involved. The ref and 4th assistant were shocking in those last minutes but we have to look at ourselves as well and where we are responsible.
  5. Good point. Presumably Pedro had to respond earlier coz they assumed he wouldn’t be here much longer! They really don’t help themselves with this pysh.
  6. The guys a defensive midfielder so he should have been thinking about playing out the win more than anyone. As I said not a red card and broadfoot was a disgrace but Jack was amateurish to get involved and that can’t just be ignored. It is in his interests to understand how he has let the team down. If he focuses on the game and winning the game we’re not talking about it today. It’s all about winning. That’s the only thing that will turn our fortunes round and Jack needs to learn from that.
  7. Jack is a defensive midfielder who should have been resetting his position in the event of exactly what happened ie the penalty being missed and Killie breaking. He didn’t deserve a red but he deserves an absolute rollicking for sheer amateurishness. Meanwhile Broadfoot keeps his composure on the break and delivers a ball for the goal (again a back Post goal across the front of the 6 yard box). It’s school level football. Those incidents and losing points in the situation we were in is indicative of the lack of professionalism and lack of winning mentality in the team. I’m afraid it just isn’t happening for Pedro. By the way I wont feel sorry for him when he goes , he’s had his chance, he made some good points and showed passion and he’s made a packet of dosh. Jack should certainly be dropped for a spell after that. And by the way another bad day for refereeing. Unbelievable.
  8. It’s not just about Alves. Alves deserves to be looked at. It’s about all the other incidents and not necessarily those which the CO (farce tho that is) gets involved in. If Motherwell want to complain about Moults bloody face that is up to them but a club with the worst disciplinary record in the league can have little to complain about when one of their players gets hurt occasionally. Btw how anyone can disentangle reckless from violent with respect to the Bowman elbow is beyond me. And if they say it’s too expensive to do it properly then don’t do it at all. The CO set up is an excuse for rubbish referees. There were 4 officials at that game on Sunday and they all stood aside whilst moult had a bloody head wound and Cardoso had a bloody head wound. In that sense the outcome of the challenge is actually important and the outcome of the challenge would suggest it was a violent challenge. What every man and his dog knows is that was a deliberate leading elbow which was reckless, violent and intentional. It was capable of far more damage than any other incident in the game. If the CO is saying that is a yellow card offence then perhaps all 11 players in a team should just take a yellow, wipe out 11 opponents and see how far it gets our game.
  9. Tannochside Bear the power of boycott is to make a statement that we are not happy with the way the SFA are running the refereeing side of our game. The other clubs when hit in the pocket will soon come round to the validity of that complaint and we will see whether they want decent football or rugby league. Right now rubbish referees suit some of the other clubs because they can level the playing field by over physical tactics which doesn’t only threaten player safety but it also reduces our game more generally as good football is stifled. You could argue that their tactics are a puzzle we should solve. I don’t think we should be solving that puzzle when the referees are paid to do it.
  10. I agree Darther but there is a list of incidents already and of course it needs presented properly. if the incidents continue then we go back again in the same manner and ask why they are continuing or why there was no appropriate response etc. We are well into the season and past the first quarter. It’s these guys (MD/PR) jobs to get on the front foot. If Pedro can do it then they should support him We’re all doing this part time on message boards. I disliked some of the hasty statements that have been made previously and fully understand the need for an effective comms strategy, tactics and to pick our fights carefully but there is enough evidence to start to hold the SFAs feet to the fire and for senior executives to step forward. We are not being allowed to play football because of the inconsistency and incompetence of referees. That damages our assets and it loses the club money through league position. If other clubs are happy with referees that is up to them but until we start holding the SFA to account to uphold the laws of the game opposing teams will continue to kick us off the park in an unfair manner. This is just asking people in our club to do their job and to make sure the SFA do their job. We are paying their salaries
  11. Morelos is one tough kid. I wouldn’t fancy a square go with him ?
  12. We are relying on one person who had 2 hours sleep after the semi to state the case. Where is our MD who earns 1/4m per year when HIS playing assets are not being protected appropriately? It’s not one incident it’s a litany of bad and dangerous tackles and it’s not just the manager who should be raising his head above the parapet. There is a lack of back up from Robertson and he is coming across as someone who picks up his salary and hopes it will all be ok one day when he opens the curtains. The statement made yesterday is fair enough (we have no idea who wrote it) but looks more like an isolated moan as the hours pass. I want him to get in front of the cameras and back the manager in this issue, not take a personal risk free approach. The club via the MD needs to publically point out the dangerous tackles list, state what it expects the SFA to do and then hold them accountable. This is not just a Pedro issue.
  13. I agree Frankie. But then Pena needs to be more mobile and find the gaps and places to play in. Modric would have struggled in that game in defence of Pena. You then have to question tactics and whilst I agree in finding a more modern way to play as our preference I think we need flexibility. When it became clear we were stalling in their flanks (early second half) Herrera should have been in far earlier and then Pena or Morelos could have picked up second balls or replace Pena with Herrera and put Dorrans further forward. A good manager needs to use the tools and personnel available and needs flexibility and Pedro needs to be less stubborn perhaps and more practical. If we don’t get guys in the box we’re not going to score many goals. We don’t have players who score or even seem to hit the target regularly from outside the box.
  14. If the club refuse to accept and distribute tickets it would be a start.
  15. I’ve never been one to use the term cheating but I’m convinced now something is going on. It is as if the rest of Scottish football resents our survival so they are finding a way to get back at us or they realise we are still vulnerable and want to keep us down as much as possible. If Motherwell or other clubs think they can adopt these tactics to beat us you can hardly blame them for doing so but for the SFA to sit back and endorse these tactics and watch our game sink into some sort of uppies and downies free for all, where our players are at risk of serious injury and the referees don’t apply the law where we are involved simply isn’t good enough in their role as custodians of our game and it then looks like cheating. It goes beyond incompetence because it is clear Rangers are being singled out as not worth protecting from fouls, fan attacks and provocation.
  16. Yep I was actually startled when he touched the ball after about 30 minutes. I had forgotten all about him.
  17. Yes our fans should boycott the Scottish Cup this year. We don’t get half the money anyway. It would send a message beyond Scottish football. That would be the most powerful thing we could do but of course I know we won’t.
  18. That actually made me lol. ?
  19. If we can’t play an attacking formation against Kilmarnock at Ibrox and create a barrel load of chances the game really is up. There may be any manner of reasons why we don’t take the chances but if ever we needed a virile performance then tomorrow is it. Unfortunately if Pedro is allowing the same players (notwithstanding Alnwick and Cardoso) to redeem themselves then it means we are going to use Pena and Windass. Pena can only work in that lineup if Dorrans plays further forward. Windass (deep breath required) can only work if he sits on the bye line, takes throw ins and generally keeps out the fecking way and let’s John go forward. Nemane looks poor for a Man City loanee (he struggled with first touch on Sunday). Doesn’t look as good as Dodoo and frankly he’s only here for 6 months so there is no point playing him in the squad. We’re way beyond keeping clubs like Man City happy. This is must win and that means loading their box which we didn’t do particularly well on Sunday or if we did we made the wrong choices when we got there. If Pedro plays the same line up and tactics and it fails then it will be impossible to defend him anymore. If I am in an existential battle I’m going to kick out players who are not up for the fight and therefore making the same decisions as Sunday makes no sense to me. This is the only part of Pedro press conference I really disagreed with him.
  20. Agree that was a key part of it. Apart from Alves we don’t have players at our club who have won much or indeed anything. He seems to be asking them for more help to become winners as he doesn’t have a big squad to call on. He is in the last chance saloon and knows it and he’s not exactly got the Earp gang at his back. A few Billy the Kid wannabes lurking in the corner of the bar in a corrupt town run by Mayor Regan which makes Dodge City look like the centre of the enlightenment.
  21. We should be good enough to play 3-5-2 against all teams except possibly celtic. We can’t pump long balls to Morelos. Our wide players need to take on their opponents more and Pena can only work in space. Morelos against 3 brutal centre backs and 2 holding midfielders can never work.Im not clear why Herrera and Morelos haven’t been given much of an opportunity together as the Pena link up just isn’t working as well as it should.
  22. Most of his interviews make a lot of sense to me. Standing up for your players who are being assaulted isn’t embarrassing to me. Standing up to Lennons antics isn’t embarrassing. Standing up to idiots on BT Sport doesn’t embarrass me. Telling your players they are the best isn’t embarrassing. Telling them they have let themselves down isn’t embarrassing when 90% of the fans have said the same thing. Putting MOH in his place isn’t embarrassing when the player hasn’t tried a leg and earns 1000s a week. I’m angry about Celtic pasting us and Progres but I’m more embarrassed that we have had to entirely dismantle Warburton hopeless squad. I was more embarrassed at McCoists failure to develop our club when we were in lower leagues whilst skimming 800k a year. I don’t see how the same language we used against people like Whyte and Green should be used against a guy who at least is trying his hardest and for any failings he has at least acts with integrity. His handling of the media could be better but frankly most of them are overpaid, ignorant and thick and the BBC and Record in particular have a clear agenda against our club. I don’t give a flying feck what they think. I don’t care what fans of other clubs who have tried to destroy us think. So just who is he embarrassing us in front of? I’ll tell you what is worse right now than anything he is doing and that is the lack of support he is getting from other people in the club when they see the Shiite our players are having to put up with on the park. I am embarrassed at Celtic getting the Broomloan and their players mocking our fans. I think it is also incumbent on the board to be clear what the objectives are for caixinho and to openly back him until these objectives have failed.
  23. He’s probably 10 times richer than 99% of the folk on this board, can speak a few more languages than 99% of us, and seems pretty well educated compared to many folk. Not bad for an imbecile. Seriously, can we stick to where he makes football mistakes rather than insult him?
  24. I just dont think we’ve got the dosh to do a 3rd rebuild in as many years and there are no transfer windows open now anyway. Our next moves I imagine will also be tied in with Kings position and any liquidity or lack of that might arise. In the first half yesterday we looked pretty smart at times then it disintegrated almost immediately into the second. There is a lot of anxiety in our play but at times there is good quality however we are inconsistent so whether PC stays or goes more money and quality is needed. I can’t see much point in not giving him until Xmas and then assess whether the current squad is going to need enhanced or significantly replaced. In the event of the latter clearly you could not entrust that to Pedro. If the former it could only be based on a good league run and demonstrating we are better than aberdeen with the players we currently have. As we haven’t actually played them yet we really need to give pedro until Xmas.
  25. The answer to the question has to be when it’s obvious we will not finish above Aberdeen and will not win a cup. If someone can find the magic money tree then perhaps before but the question for me always has to be tied in with what kind of football we want to develop long term, who is available to develop that football and how much dosh there is to do it. Until I have clarity on all of the above and it points in a different direction I will support the current manager.
