Sakala has improved a lot under Beale. He seems more aware now of being onside, so he must be paying attention in training, which is always a good thing. If only the coaching staff could get him to be more aware of when his team mates are in a better position to pass to rather than blast the ball. His energy and enthusiasm are good to watch. at the moment he must rate as a sure starter.
More a gentle breeze. I agree about the best perform though.
I thought Hearts were poor. We simply overwhelmed them and they fell apart. Maybe just one of those games for them.
I felt the VAR refs let the ref down. He looked as bemused as everyone when it took so long to decide the offsides. I can't understand why it takes that long.
A last word on the boy's hair. Not so much long as luxuriant. More Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen than a young Francis Rossi. But I won't hold that against him.
All hoped-for things will come to you

‘Ah, all things come to those who wait,’
(I say these words to make me glad),
But something answers soft and sad,
‘They come, but often come too late.
I like listening to Beale's press conferences. A refreshing change from Gio, who always seemed determined to say as little as possible.
While Gerrard commanded the press conference, he got away without imparting much information. Beale seems much more open to explanation, unlike most mangers.
