I'd like to see Barasic play tomorrow as Ridvan look absolutely shattered on Thursday. So much so, he attempted a long throw into the box and it landed at his feet.

If Ridvan had dropped 2 acid and wore a dress for the match, I'd still have him playing before Barisic.

I'm in this mind frame too but they might just not fancy it or have an off night. I don't think us going out would be the end of the world league wise either

I get you, but I think still being in Europe helps the players feel ten feet tall, as Bill rightly says. Confidence is fuel.

    I intimated F all.

    My words

I never stated that Rangers give four year deals to all, most, any or the majority of 30+ players.

It is my believe that THIS 30+ year old player...John Lundstram...will receive that kind of deal.

    Lol, whatever 😂

Asked about a possible contract renewal, Lundstram said: “I have never shied away from saying how much I love the club and I would love to stay but it is obviously between me and the club to sort it out.

“I hope so (it is in the pipeline) of course, but that’s between me and the club, but I would love to stay.”

I'de bet my prized pig that John is gettin a 4 year offer.

That we don't know, but you intimate that we always give 30+ players a 4 year contract, I'm merely saying that we don't in my experience.

    Rangers always overshoot the LZ.

Over 30...A 2 year deal is fair.

    But it will be 4.

To be honest, with the exception of Goldson (was he over 30 at the time?), I'm struggling to think of any over 30s that we've chucked 4 years at?.

If he was happy to renew for 2 years at 20k a week it’s a no brainer. If he wants 30k a week for 3 years it’s a no thanks.

    This.

And there's no big if around Roofe, times up sadly.

  7. It's fairly simple to my mind. To question, or expect better from referees as a whole is fine, we're paying customers after all. To chase a referee, after the event, to harass him outside of the football realm, to blame failure of our team over a season on someone, well that's your personal choice, and you leave yourself open to criticism in my opinion.

Really there's no answer, no defining line, it's up to you how you carry yourself.

Anyway, I've work to do, enjoy the rest of yer day.

If Gonzo was to call someone yahooesque whilst sitting amongst Bears at Ibrox, or an away ground for slating a refs decision or performance, I'd bet he'd get a more robust response 😀

Moaning at a ref during the game is perfectly normal.

It's carrying that on for weeks after the event, looking into said ref to see who his father was, that kind of behaviour that is very, very yahooesque.

The money and effort invested in youth players has only one objective - to produce players for the first team squad

Mibbe 20 years ago, nowadays the big teams produce talent to use as makeweights in FFP, to fund buying other players, or to fulfil homegrown requirements. It's a complete racket, just look at how many homegrown players Man U or Chelsea had on the park last night. Liverpool have a decent youth academy, but they also have a team full of injured players, needs must. Chelsea could even buy players that they've sold on back, and still call them homegrown.

    Sad state of affairs.

  10. EPL teams youth academies are bound to churn out players, the sheer size of them is incredible, they hoover up everything that is around. IIRC it was Palace that chucked theirs, as Chelsea and Arsenal were taking everything locally.

We shouldn't compare ourselves to the EPL, aspire by all means, but don't compare.
