  1. On Radio Scotland (I know, I know) the other night, someone, a journo, a little better informed that the usual indolent crew, made the point that research in Scandinavia indicated, and indicated actually quite clearly, that the incidence of injuries on plastic is not significantly worse than that of grass. I had a wee tidy up done on my knee last year, the surgeon - supposedly the top consultant in such procedures - was absolutely adamant that knee injuries on 3G and 4G surfaces, in particular to teens and younger were a huge part of his working week now, and increasing annually. Possibly down to more of these pitches around, but his thoughts were the lack of 'give' un synthetic surfaces, ie studs catch, the sub surface doesn't 'break' like grass roots would, and also the drainage, these surfaces are great when they are wet, but if it's windy or sunny, they dry up very quickly and become even grippier.
  2. Jocks, sweaty socks et al doesn't bother me, but in a journalistic sense the jibes are as described, lazy and show a lack of coherant material to fill a column. The greatest paroqial putdown goes to the French, and their utter contempt for the English diet - Les Rosbifs. Tremendous.
  3. 'The constant need to bring back old players is like a disease at Rangers.' I have to agree.
  4. Ooft. No doubt that'll be Rangers fault as well. ?
  5. Yep, also talk of him being valued at 10 million, so maybe not....
  6. No, a few weeks ago some fickle fans would have sold him for that.
  7. Absolutely correct, BBC Scotland is a rather bizarre arm of the Auntie. The coverage of English football really gets on my tits, I was in the car coming back down the A77 one evening a few weeks back, and their only sports story was that Willian was to stay with Chelsea. What the actual fuck does that have to do with Scotland? If I want to know that, I can listen to the national news, there was loads of sport going on north of the border, never mind some bloody Brazilian playing in another country's league. Happens all the time as well.
  8. Coke and hookers.
  9. 'Tierny. Hendrie. Forrest and mcgregor all played tonight.' Hendrie is a Brenda signing, other 3 were all first teamers when he arrived.
  10. Excellent Post John.
  11. Lots to agree with, but I couldn't give a fuck about gloaters, and BBC wouldn't be hard to sort out, we own the fuckers!.
  12. Aye, it's time to sort that out, while the status quo exists, BBCS are being allowed to fester exponentially, on a weekly basis, no marks like Dodds, Gordon and Guitar man need reined in, but whilst we are 'ignoring' them, no one is holding them to account. I'd love to see a Rangers statement, allowing Gollum back in, but also highlighting the lack of equilibrium that BBCS have shown, with the pot lickers having banned journalists from BBCS before, with nothing said. It's really not hard, fuck knows what our PR guys actually do for a living....
  13. Early days, but some grumblings about Ejaria have been noted....
  14. Sounds like WWE wrestling!
  15. Fair enough Dave, I've got involved in a politics thread, which I always try to avoid! no more from me, I'll stick to what I come here for, The Rangers. ?
  16. We were warned, but a hell of a lot of people refused to listen, I never heard one single financial expert even attempt to paint Brexit as a good idea, but people have chosen to ignore experts, and believe power crazed fuckwits such as Gove and Johnson, and their bus ad drivel. Brussels is only doing what we knew they would, we need to look a hell of a lot closer to home if there's blame to be shovelled out.
  17. I'd agree, If I'd said it made someone feel any less British, then your point would be valid. however, the question was not that. I'm merely wondering how the current goings on between the EU and the self servers can make one feel 'more' British....
  18. Serious question, not trolling, but how can this Brexit fiasco make anyone feel more British?...
  19. In my time living on the Scottish riviera, I've witnessed a hell of a lot of Weegies, as the sun lures them from their penthouse apartments, with the promise of ice cream, sand, sea and a swally. Sophisticaction is not a word that has ever entered my thoughts whilst witnessing these specimens enjoying their sabbatical.... ?
  20. Not sensitive at all my friend, I just hold some different views from you, which really isn't an issue, as The Rangers is a broad church of people who are allowed to think and act as an individual. Unlike some others...
  21. Unless they're all imposters, there is a worryingly seditious element within the Rangers support, who promote republicanism and separatism. There's is a philosophy of denial with respect to just about every tradition we have. They're embarrassed by our loyaltyism, by our unionism and by our long affiliation with NI. Frankly, they make me sick. They won't be missed if they want to take their embarrassment elsewhere. I wasn't aware that we were all to fit in with you're identikit idea of a Bluenose. We're a football club, not a political institution, I have no interest in how my fellow Bear standing next me votes, indeed it's absolutely none of my business, all I'm interested in is our shared passion for the club.
  22. Aye, red white and blue for me, not a fan of the orange strip, nor the black one we had either.
  23. All depends if these sorts of things are important to you, tbh I haven't a clue how most of my Gers mates vote, or what their views are of indy or brexit. I've said it many, many times before, I'm proud that in the main we're a broad kirk of supporters, no one has to fit into any identikit of how we should think, vote or express our views.
