Separate Entity FC Plan About To Come To Fruition?
Devil's advocaat replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
'It's affected us more than any other club'..... What an embarrassing statement that is, trying to rouse the orcs against the rest of society, as ever. -
Indeed, we welcome the chase. And can we put this in the General football chat section, shouldn't be posts in here about other teams.

Barkas, Hazzard, Jullien, Broon, Taylor, Ralston, Henderson, Johnston, Ajeti, El Hamhead, Rogic, Botton, and Klimala. That's the list that I saw tweeted by a few different outlets. -

They have absolutely no one to blame but themselves. But they'll find someone. -
Aye, but as I always say, if der Goalie could've passed a ball, we'd never have seen him at Ibrox. He was phenomenal in one on one situations, I don't think I've ever been as confident in that situation with any other keeper. They all had and have fantastic attributes, and we're lucky to have had all 4 of them.

They're not in bubbles, bubbles is the bake off contestants living away from their families for weeks, or my mates working offshore in Angola who then spend 10 days properly isolated in a hotel before getting home. These guys are going home to their families at night, the exemptions they have are only when they cross the white line, ie training and match days, that's it. Sitting next to each other swallying is not part of the exemption, that's why Kennedy had to say that they'd had 'issues'. To be fair, you won't get a better ventilated space indoors than an aircraft, the amount of air changes possible is incredible, air is bled from the compressor of the engine, enters the upper end of the plane, and is taken away at feet level. It's a bit of an urban myth I'm afraid. -

Agreed Compo, keep the foot on their neck for the next few games, then when we get Jack and Arfield back, it'll allow us to kick on again. That lot can't be looking forward to playing Livi either, given the run their on - Ironically it'll suit us better playing the way the new guy there has them playing rather than a wll of 10 as they did before with Holt. Brilliant to see wee Morelos back scoring and smiling again, he's looking like he's getting his sharpness and his mojo back, perfect timing. -
Absolutely this.

You reap what you sow. When you allow your support to hang effigies from your stadium, don't be surprised when one day that effigy is you.

It's brilliant news that their sticking with TLB til they play us, SG has him on toast these days, and I wouldn't be surprised if Kennedy gets the gig after we despatch them, the realisation is sinking in that the biscuit tin isn't quite as full as they thought it was. Keep the foot on their neck Gers, no let up.

I see they've installed fences around the entire perimeter of the piggery. Bless. -
Aye, agreed, looks dreadful, further devaluing the big European nights.

Indeed, McCann is the polar opposite of their usual. Bonner is a bloody embarrassment, has no idea who is playing for the opposition to Celtc, unless they are ex pot lickers. 'The Motherwell number 7' is about all he can muster.

Derek McInnes? ?

Christ, I never knew that! I went to school with a guy who supported us during the 9 and the Advocaat years, then he turned uber tim, I don't see him very often thankfully, but a wee smile and a nod usually does the trick.
-
As was rightly said on the weekly blog after horsing the Dons, we need to keep the foot on their neck. We play another league game when they play the cup final, we beat Motherwell , and we could potentially be 17 points clear. If TLB is still in charge then, he'll be throwing the players into the fires of Mordor again, and Declan will be in the car park. They keep going on about us faltering, when they know fine well they are more likely to stutter. They are shiteing themselves, and quite rightly so. Bring it on.

My bad, poorly worded. The headgear like they use in rugby is to stop cuts from surface impact of bone on bone, same in boxing, to stop cuts from gloves on bone. These would have no benefit in football as the baw doesn't have any of those risks. It's a different ballgame in motor cycles, they are designed to stop head trauma from a one off event, not repeated blows.
-
Headgear would make no difference, hence why it's never been adopted above amateur level in boxing, it's all about the force not the impact, as the force causes the brain trauma ie. shaking inside the skull. And the arguments about the older heavier ball are moot too, as the force of a modern ball is the same in reality - Force=Mass x Acceleration - aye newer balls are much lighter, but they're coming at you a hell of a lot quicker.
-
I can't see tackling coming under scrutiny*, as it's obviously not contributing to premature Neurological decay in later life, like heading does. * Though it'll be interesting to see where they go with this in Rugby.

Kerrydale street has been fun this week. ? -
I like Levein, reminds me of Jim McLean, not a manager I'd want at Rangers, but speaks his own mind, not what he thinks people want to hear/career advancement nonsense. They were spunking off about Ross McCrorie a few weeks back and how we should have kept him. Levein squarely told them that was rubbish, he'd been allowed to leave Ibrox because he simply wasn't good enough for Rangers, and being good enough for Aberdeen was something completely different. Certainly took the wind from Dick's sails.
