I enjoy the whole shimmy routine, with the taker trying to outfox the keeper (as a neutral, I'd be far too nervous to watch one of ours do it!), it adds to the theatre. And speaking of theatre, the celebrations are great too, football getting dragged into the entertainment industry, despite the alf garnetts.

We've done this before, but once again, it's about force, which is a result of mass x acceleration. Yes, the old ball was heavier, but because of this, the velocity of the ball was much less (look at old pathe reels, wee looping crosses). Because its a lighter ball, then it can be fired in at a much higher speed, resulting in an equally high force. And factor in the players are physically far more advanced than ye olden days, and you'll realise the force is higher. I

A couple of things that stood out in that interview was his 'get back to standards' comment - quite telling I think, and also the reiteration that he's no one's friend, he's the shouter, the disciplinarian. Good interview, can't fail to be impressed.
