  1. This will live with me for a very long time.
  2. Aye, if they're both falling from the same height, but you see clearances going way higher than the old balls did.
  3. We've done this before, but once again, it's about force, which is a result of mass x acceleration. Yes, the old ball was heavier, but because of this, the velocity of the ball was much less (look at old pathe reels, wee looping crosses). Because its a lighter ball, then it can be fired in at a much higher speed, resulting in an equally high force. And factor in the players are physically far more advanced than ye olden days, and you'll realise the force is higher. I
  4. History is littered with players being transformed under different managers, let's hope that's the case with Matondo. Ridvan hasn't really had a chance to get going to be fair to him.
  5. All clubs attract fuckwits.
  6. Spot on Gonzo, pretty sure LFC are a well run, modern club, 'rancid' is a bit bizarre.
  7. He answered the Morelos stuff really well. Let's see how that works out, it really is time for him to grow the fuck up, for the clubs sake, and also for his career.
  8. Agreed. In terms of Souttar, I'm still hopeful he can be the next Alan McLaren rather than Paul Ritchie....
  9. A couple of things that stood out in that interview was his 'get back to standards' comment - quite telling I think, and also the reiteration that he's no one's friend, he's the shouter, the disciplinarian. Good interview, can't fail to be impressed.
  10. He'll have been watching our games intently, remember he saw us actually playing some decent stuff in the flesh a few weeks back, albeit against a bizarrely set up Aberdeen defence. MB will know who he can trust. I can't wait to see us back soon. Intae thum.
  11. Indeed, it's not so long ago we had a thread 'in praise of Ross Wilson' 😉
  12. Christ no, there's folk on here still shouting about Gullane 🤣
  13. If compensation is his driver, he'd have surely gone to Wolves. A penalty kick for a pay off.
  14. Any more embarrassing than the glut of mediocrity standing behind Gio those season Rousseau?.
  15. Absolutely spot on. I wouldn't be surprised if Morelos doesn't ever acheive the levels that we seen him at for the rest of his career.
  16. Omnishambles?. The issues at a club, or any business, rarely lie in isolation, there's generally always more than one. However, your average fan struggles to get their head round this, and cannot see past what their chosen root cause is.
  17. Not quite. Fitness, hard work, knowing their roles, shape and a few very tidy footballers. Pretty much us in EL last season.
  18. Sacked manager alludes to excuse shocker. He's not exactly gonna say there were no issues, is he?.
  19. I'm willing to stick my neck out and say i think he's the man for the job, I think he's a great coach who will end up a great manager and potentially in a few years would be out of our league, so this is the time to go for him. Bring it on, canny wait to see us playing football like we did the 55 season. 💙
  20. @Gonzo79 I hope you've been putting a few quid on these!
  21. Aye, let's get them back on the stovies, black n tans and capstan full strength anaw, that'll sort em. I'm sure Beale and Culshaw (if it turns out to be the case) will get them fit, but actually fit, not rose tinted spectacle fit.
  22. I'm not sure you'd ever find a manager with the win percentages that we crave or expect, anywhere. And if he was in a half decent league, would we even get him?. I think any manager we appoint is always a gamble, as our situation isn't particularly common.
  23. Be like us giving Bobby Wiliamson the job!
  24. I'm easy ozy with it tbh, ascender is right, there's less risk in it. Pedro and Le Guen were imaginative mind....
