Gersnet Article Summer 2024: Rip it up and start again?
Devil's advocaat replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
It's a job, it's a short career, I don't grudge players a wage tbh, it's not players that have made the game the way it is. If someone wants to come to us, make a name for themselves and move on for big bucks, then it's a win win. -
Christ, I've not watched a game against them for years!

I'd imagine Clements comments relate to the lack of physical conditioning, which then means players struggle to meet the requirements demanded in a busy season, and break down. He hinted at this in comments about wanting players to be able to cope with 2 or 3 games in a week. IME you can't really change this mid season, that'll just result in fatigue and injuries too. I think the result is that our squad are in for a busy pre season. -

I always preferred the clear daylight way we did it for a while (I heard talk recently of this coming back?) as it results in more of a positive effect on the game, ie more chances/goals. -

I agree that the spontaneity is definitely affected, but the CL* in the main manages to keep the game flowing far better than either our league or the EPL does. As a team who are generally in the opponents box more than our own, VAR will always result in a net positive for us. * I believe that's due to it being semi automated. -

VAR just needs to be better, not banned. -
Which with VAR is never going to do us any favours, as we seen. We could do with just competing with them, not allowing them to waltz past on a regular basis.

A Saudi wage will blow that all away. It's a decision for him and his family future now tbh, overall he's been a great signing, but I wouldn't be disappointed to see him leave. We've kept too many over the years. -

We need to be on it form the word go, we've given them a head start too bloody often. -

Absolutely. I think Clement has been a bit of a victim of his own success, I mean no one had us anywhere near the title when he came in, then we gave him zero budget in january, but now we're disappointed as it feels like we chucked a very good position - that his management took us to. -
Always two ways of looking at it, I'd be disappointed in Cantwell was okay with not playing. Maybe you could question his going public with it, but social media is all part of these guys careers now. Work hard and get yersel back in, son. The Danny Armstrong rumour seems to be growing, another Jordan Jones....

I stopped wearing tops at the age of 30, a conscious decision that was taken, and tbh since then I've kinda lost interest in what our kits look like 😆

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cqln4xjp82xo Banner image screams 'penalty to Rangers', whereas the real story is no wrong VAR decisions in our favour. Worse than the Sun.

Can I take Cammy's 5 and Rousseau's 5 as well please.
-
Yup, ditto.

Barca had 2 in the starting line up, one who is 16 and has started nearly 50 games now, with 6 caps for Spain, and one who's 17 and has played over 100 games, with 20 odd caps - We in this country still think that a 21 year old is young. Barasic, please no.

I think big Souttar would really benefit from a Davie Weir, it's finding one that's the issue.

Absolutely, it's been an incredibly wet winter, granted. But this lot are a feeder club, for a big(ish) English club, you'd think they'd want their loan players playing on a half decent pitch, not borrowing covers from coverup fc.

Who'd have thunk it?. A farce.
