  1. Team that beat Motherwell:

    01 Alexander

    02 Argiriou

    03 Cribari

    04 Perry

    05 Wallace

    06 McCulloch

    07 Faure

    08 MacLeod

    10 Shiels (Crawford - 75' )

    11 Aird (McKay - 81' )

    09 Sandaza (Hutton - 24' )

    Substitutes

    16 Gallacher

    12 Hutton

    14 Crawford

    17 Stella

    15 McKay

    Potential Strongest team now:

    Bell

    Foster Mohsni Cribari Wallace

    Little McLeod Law Templeton

    Daly Clark

Team this year looks stronger overall to me with some better quality options in a few position.

Going OT but people were discussing this sort of thing in some posts.

  2. 7 in 1992? Ok Your a wee bit younger...I was 13.

I like your Hutton slot, but didn't do it enough to be a Rangers legend IMO.

Agreed overall on Hutton. But from early 90s onwards there isn't a stand out player at right back in the same way there has been in goal, at CB or upfront for example. Most positions there is a number of strong candidates, but right backs are scarce.

  3. Yes mate early 30s

Im with you RE Stevens and Butcher, I was bit young to appreciate them but I still know they are class in their positions - Butcher especially. Imagine Rangers signing John Terry today. It would be like that. Right back is the position where we haven't had outstanding candidates. Hutton on his day was close to it and Porrini did well filling in, but I always recall Stevens whipping in crosses and getting down the wing.

Davie Robertson was immense for me. If it wasn't that we got a class act in Numan to replace him then we'd still be talking about him. One of the most under rated Scottish players ever. Plus he went to same school as me so Id have him in. Numan was top notch all the same.

As said, players that you have seen! I wasn't born when Greig and Baxter played nor Stein. Feel free to have them in your team...that's what its all about.

Soon we'll have youngsters on here posting there best team as the following....nothing wrong with it but its a generation thing.

    ________McGregor___________

    Hutton Cuellar Bougherra Wallace

    Naismith Ferguson Hemdani Novo

    _______Prso Aluko___________

Thinking on it more and the right back slot would probably be the weakest in my time watching Rangers. My memories really start around 92 (turned 7 years old at the start of that year) and due to age my memories are mostly of the likes of McCoist and Hateley scoring. Remembering a solid right back at that age wouldn't be high on your priorities. As such it is probably between Porini and Hutton for me and I think I would go for a peak Hutton.

In any other position there is at least one stand out, near world class player:

    Goram

    Hutton Gough Weir/Cuellar Numan

    Gazza Ferguson Van Bronckhorst

    Laudrup (Free role)

    McCoist Mols

Up for change are Gough's centre back partner. Left of the midfield. Midifeld may even change to an orthodox 4. And Ally's strike partner.

Rest are pretty certain for me though.

  4. I'm only a couple of years younger than you I think Gribz, yet I don't remember Robertson too well and so would probably have to go with Numan at LB.

Same goes for Butcher and Stevens really actually. My team wouldn't be too far away from that. Would probably be looking for a place for Barry Ferguson though, as divisive as that may be.

  5. Quick example of differing ideas , when PLG first arrived he instructed the Doc at the time Ian McGuinness that water and only water was to be given to players , no re hydration mixtures , no salts or carbs nothing , now there is not a sportsman in the world who doesnt take some sort of rehydration/supplement .

I cycle on average 3 times 50 miles plus every 2 weeks and I consider myself reasonably fit for my age averaging around the 20mph mark , however if I take just water then after about 30-35 miles I start cramping and basically blowing out my arse , sports medicine is so so important these days anyone who doesnt think so is kidding themselves on

Never heard that before about PLG. Not such a genius people make out then.

  6. Anyone got any experience of using social media to generate leads for business.

Get a lot of people locally telling me how great the stuff is that they read on my business fb/twitter. But they don't always interact and I need to figure out how to turn this not more business. Anyone with skills, experience and knowledge here?

  7. Whilst £10mil for SFL2 is ridiculous I also don't think we should squeak through div 1 & 2 on the bare minimum and then have to build a brand new team capable of challenging in the SPL in just one summer.

Teams grow by playing together. We should be looking to put the bulk of an SPL team over the next two years so they are a cohesive team when we hit the top division.

Edit: you guys moaning about how much we spend will be the first to moan if we don't win the title in our first season back.

  8. What intellectual rigour is contained in the perspective that change for its own sake makes for a prosperous future?

So few in media have tackled this. The loudmouths of Aberdeen and Celtic etc touting this as some last roll of the dice. But was there anything to back up their words that this new system would in fact be any more succesful than what we currently have? No.

In fact I and most believe it would be a lot worse.

  9. Stop singing daft songs and I may consider.

Leave your petty arguments aside and support the club anyway. The cause is good whether or not you like those instigating it. There is no negative to joining in with this. Strange attitude.
