Based on the lies and bullshit they came out with about the old firm on panorama a few years ago I'd do a lot of research before believing anything in that documentary.

What time is the draw today? -
When people talk about the BBC producing quality, impartial documentaries or whatever else they must be talking about the BBC from 20 or 30 years ago because it sure isn't like that any more.

Wouldn't be surprised, or Hearts who are desperate for the cash! A lot of my family would not be disappointed if it was Alloa. -

If my numbers are right there's a 39% chance of getting an SPL side. (31 possible opponents with the 12 SPL teams entering in the next round). -
Tuesday brings the Scottish Cup draw and the "big boys" entering the draw. Star centre back Bilel Mohsni is (perhaps wrongly?) giving it the bravado and asking for our age old enemy: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-star-bilel-mohsni-were-2671400 There is definitely a feeling among some of our support that we should be hoping to avoid being paired with them or any SPL side to avoid an humiliating defeat and other teams taking advantage of us whilst we rebuild. They point to comprehensive defeats from top division sides last year as their reasoning. Though this ignores the fact that we had an equally emphatic victory against then second placed side Motherwell last year. It also fails to take into consideration the vast improvement in our playing squad and the superior displays and results we have achieved this season. We are much improved throughout the spine of the team. Mohsni appears to be comfortably the best centre back we have fielded since we have been paying in the lower divisions. Nicky Law is not quite at the levels he displayed at the start of this season but is still a fine upgrade on last season. Ian Black this year has been one our best performers when last season he appeared a waste of a wage. Jon Daly has added a serious goal threat to the all round game he displayed for Dundee United in the SPL. In addition to a pretty strong spine we ave Cammy Bell in goal who was one of the best keepers in the old top division. We have the best left back playing in Scotland and we have some decent supporting players in midfield and attack. We may not boast a paying squad vastly superior to all outwith the Glasgow duopoly, as we once did. But we certainly have a team capable of turning over any of those top league sides. They are equally capable o beating us, but to e that is no reason to run scared. Lower league sides who can't call on even half the quality we can have dumped out SPL sides. And that includes Celtic. Worst case scenario is drawing Celtic whist we are currently half the team we once were. Yet the fear of a heavy defeat must be balanced against the opportunity to dump them out of the country's premier competition whilst plying our trade in the depths of Scottish football. That is one result they would ever be able to live down!

Before the ban we engaged with them and the situation was no better. Your post sounds great in theory but the evidence of recent history shows the exact opposite. If Billy Dodds is being used as balance and a Rangers man then the BBC really are having a fucking laugh. If you didn't know he played for Rangers you'd never know from listening to him.

To be honest I think amms, D'art andy steel etc (sorry to throw you all into one group but you seem to have a similar view on how we should address this) are the equivalent of the US going in and fighting according to the rules of war when they get into e.g. Vietnam and its all jungle fighting or Iraq with suicide bombers and hiding amongst the civilians. You're trying to fight a clean war against the dirtiest, most cowardly and untrustworthy people out there. Keep going that way and you have no chance of victory (where victory us an even handed approach in the press).

Thanks. I use twitter but only for business so I tend to avoid my personal interests on there. I understand the idea that engaging with people with whom you have a difference is normally the most likely way to reach compromise or to create a change. In theory. But I don't believe engaging with the BBC, Speirs, English will achieve anything. Can you say that Speirs or English have been any less of a cunt since this tactic of engaging with them? I haven't seen it. Engaging with people only works if they are willing to change or you have some leverage to change them. Speirs etc will not change. We might not be able to put them out of jobs or get BBC HQ to clamp down on their Scotland branch but I would say it is infinitely more likely to bring about a positive reaction from our point if view than "engaging" with these people. You can't engage with entrenched bigots. Their views and actions won't change. It might appear like the more cerebral or sophisticated way forward but I think the likes of yourself, amms and andy steel are kidding yourselves if you think that it will be in anyway succesful.
