Seem to remember Ally McCoist getting the same shit when he joined from Sunderland. His play grew as his experience did. He also got support from players who at the time played in there positions. We have had too many players playing outwith there scope of position that last year we did exceptionally well to win what we did, and get to the Final in the Uefa Cup and take the league to the last day (albeit we were ahead in Feb/March by a decent margin) Last year was astonishing, and yet the only player I can see getting flack is Boyd. There are some on here who berate others - McCulloch, Darch, Fergie etc and they all deserve a little criticism, but FFS we all saw what happened last year. Players utilised outside there normal remit, injuries, unfit players, tired players, dodgy decisions at critical times (for and against before the conspiracy lunes start) We have signed 3 new strikers. I would say it is not greed that makes them go to the EPL, it is simply a better league. Also if anyone was given the chance to work in there profession in England for a 400% payrise, better bonus', better working conditions (including weather) and a better chance of getting promoted (wage rise) they would take it, and if they say wouldn't then they are talking through Roy Orbison tinted glasses.

Let me put it in a slightly better way. Are they asking a little too much of there fans to stump up again for a match that is again plucking at there heart strings. They have had there match against the Dhims. And the re-naming of the Stand is a fine thing for them to do to honour him, but can't they just do that for the first home game of the season - get a full house in for that and get the team worked up for a win? I see your points and they are all valid. Indeed getting a charity match and a pre season friendly in one for the club is good, but there are many fans who will be on there holidays then etc... Guess I am just a little apprehensive of such things being "over cooked"
