FLANAGAN FACEBOOK FAKE Facebook troll dupes thousands with fake Celtic WAG Helen Flanagan Old Firm post A FACEBOOK account claiming to be Celtic WAG Helen Flanagan has duped thousands of users after the Hoops’ win over Rangers. The profile wrote a post about racist comments in the wake of the Old Firm match at Hampden. Helen’s representatives at ITV confirmed to the Scottish Sun that the account didn’t belong to the Coronation Street actress. And they said the bogus profile would be flagged to facebook bosses. The post talking about racist comments was published last night. It read: “You may not support Celtic FC and that’s fine but making racist comments is not okay. Really not okay at all. “I’m even more sensitive to them now I have my daughter who also has a darker skin tone. There is no need.” It gained over 3,800 likes and attracted hundreds of comments who believed it to be from Helen. The account features intimate images of Helen alongside her Celtic boyfriend Scott Sinclair. It’s gained over 16,700 likes and is followed by as many users who have been duped into thinking it belongs to the 26-year-old. There are even pics of the couple’s daughter Matilda, along with a number of posts supposedly from Helen herself. The Corrie star had previously posted on Twitter last July that she didn’t use facebook. We told you earlier this month how the actress said she wants more kids with Celtic ace Sinclair. The actress said she knew she wanted to be a mum from the age of ten.

I was travelling so couldn't watch this but from the radio it seemed horrendous. I'm pretty glad I missed it! I notice there was an absolutely huge pro-IRA banner again, im sure this will be all over the papers in the same manner as the pretty distasteful one about Martin McGuinness.

The overreaction to their "invincibles" run is merely to deflect from what was the worst result in Scottish Footbal history.

There is actually talk about this all over Twitter and in "football" blogs. And there are loads of comments taking it seriously and that they don't think he's good enough. FAKE NEWS!!

I'm not particularly bothered about Brown playing or not but what I don't understand is how it seems to move about as to when appeals etc. are heard. I'm sure Miller in the past had his appeal thrown out the day after it was lodged, almost immediately if I remember right. Now how can they, due to a single day off, not have enough time (5 days - as the SFA set a precedent in the past when they used Saturday as a 'working day' in a case (surprising against Rangers)) to hear the appeal? All very strange... who am I kidding? Not really.

See to be honest, that article is disgusting and disrespectful to the poor guys who have had the bravery to speak out about their and Scottish football's horrors.

One of the most remarkable things about this is the reporting of it, as if it isn't a completely ridiculous and unbelievable thing that has just happened that absolutely makes a mockery of the supposed disciplinary system.

Interesting - the Daily Record had the headline "Teacher and ex-Boys club boss suspended..." - no mention of club in the headline - on their website earlier. Now? Not even anywhere near the top stories or even on their main page. Surprise, surprise. Edit - it is actually half way down with a more vague headline "Football Coach Suspended From Job as Primary School Teacher After Historical Sex Abuse Allegations". The story has almost complete removed any reference to Celtic, however at the very bottom it says "king confirmed that he had once been the chairman of Celtic Boys Club". Nothing about the fact he is still an acting member of it which a small amount of investigating would show. Sweep sweep.

I'm not comparing them like-for-like but if the press aren't prepared to tackle that issue, what make you think they will be uncompliant and deal with this issue?

Would there be outcry? For goodness sake, Hibs fans invaded the pitch and attacked Rangers players and there was no outcry, just encouragement. Someone on another board had a foray onto other teams' forums and do you know how many of them are talking about this? Zero. None. They don't care. Celtic have achieved some sort of untouchable status through years of press control, political placement and made up stories. No one cares that there was a peadolhile ring working their for years and that they didn't do anything about it. I expect this to blow over and be wiped from history and again, the issue reversed, you become the bad guy for mentioning it.

I notice that this story is completely eradicated from all news outlets now (was it even on the BBC Scotland site at all!? - even though the programme was on the BBC!?). Instead we have a story about Arsenal buying Tierney and Dembele. It will be interesting to see how this proceeds.

It's also quite impressive as to how quiet the sports team have been regarding the biggest scandal to hit Scottish Football for decades.
