  1. Crazy money. I've seen Morata come on as a sub for Madrid on more than one occasion and I've seriously questioned how he got on the bench. Now he is a £70m player!? Crazy.
  2. Peter Lawell.
  3. So basically "we admit it, we didnae do anything wrong, it wusnae us, it's everybody else's fault, we're no changing". An absolute schizophrenic statement.
  4. Following the club statement on Friday, we take this opportunity to accept full responsibility for both the pyrotechnics display to celebrate the achievements of the Lisbon Lions at the Hearts match in May and our 'Brendan's Undefeated Army' tifo during the match against Linfield on Wednesday evening. While we are disappointed to hear of the impending two match ban that we face, we know that in the sanitised world of Scottish football the actions of an Ultra group like ours may have consequences for our members. We do however completely oppose collective punishment and a blanket ban on all fans in our block is disproportionate and unjust therefore we call on the board to revise this decision. As a group we are defined by our style of support and our politics, both of which the club are happy to benefit from when it suits their agenda. Almost a year ago, after much immediate criticism, we brought worldwide adulation on the club for our show of solidarity with the people of Palestine and the subsequent charity fundraising which was endorsed by the Celtic support. What isn't common knowledge is if it had not been for this incredible response, we would have faced the same punishment as we currently face. In light of this, and of the condemnation of banners and songs from Wednesday, we refuse to allow a discredited and corrupt organisation like UEFA or a board which has welcomed war criminals and Tory Lords to dictate our moral compass. Our decision to mark the achievements of 1967 by using pyrotechnics was not taken lightly. We took the required steps to ensure that this was carried out as safely as possible and in the knowledge that we as a group may face potential consequences as a result of it. We believe the scenes that day and the response from the Celtic support proved it to be worthwhile. We have engaged in regular dialogue with the club over this matter throughout the summer and believed to be reaching an amicable outcome, however it seems as if events outside of our control on Wednesday have impacted upon the decision which has now been reached. The Green Brigade exists to support Celtic in a positive manner and we believe that this current confrontation is unnecessary and avoidable. We welcome Peter Lawwell's call for dialogue as we have been waiting on his availability for some time. One of our first talking points will be the unnecessary and unsafe policing operation carried out during Wednesday night's match, which we believe must be the source of one of UEFA's charges (blocked stairwells) and could only have been designed to antagonise fans in the area. As the evidence below proves, it is bizarre and shameful that the club have not only blamed the fans for this charge but have cited it as a reason for the ban. Other pertinent issues to be addressed are the club's response to the biggest cheating scandal to shame Scottish sport; the insulting of the Celtic support over the Linfield away debacle and negligence of the safety of those they knew would travel; and the silence over the racial and sectarian hatred directed at our player of the year and manager. Typically, the club are quick to bite the hand that feeds them yet reluctant to unite against common detractions. We have built a positive relationship with the Celtic SLO however we are concerned that his position is nearly untenable due to the manner in which he is continually undermined by Celtic security staff. The SLO is required to ''collaborate with the security officer on safety and security-related matters'' however has been deliberately excluded from discussions of this nature which is in breach of the UEFA SLO Guidelines, as per article 35. His exclusion is a deliberate tactic adopted by the police and Celtic security to facilitate the targeting of our members. For over 10 years now the Green Brigade has withstood attacks from Police Scotland and sadly this will always continue. This also will not be our first ban or forced absence from Celtic Park. The Green Brigade has not only survived through the years but we have thrived - we are currently as large and strong as we have ever been. We can assure all that we will be back in Celtic Park soon enough and that we will never allow our style nor our politics to ever be diluted.
  5. They should not only be banned by UEFA, they are actually illegal as it is a mass voice of support to a terrorist organisation. A fact that police Scotland conveniently ignore.
  6. I seen another article today which talks about the Groin Brigade "besmirching the good name of Celtic fans ". This myth that they are all jolly craicsters is so far from the truth it's unreal. Any decent journo would be highlighting the hypocrisy of the club actually failing to denounce the fans for the banners and the fact that there are multiple videos of the vast majority in the stadium taking part in an IRA love-in via a horrendous song-book. I always question myself; why is this any different to a crowd singing pro-ISIS songs? The IRA have killed more on our soil than them yet it is somehow deemed not newsworthy that a mass gathering of around 50k are blatantly singing the praises of a group of scumbags who are murdering our own citizens?
  7. Nice deflection move by Celtic without taking any of the blame and softening UEFA up. Notice the wording of their statement. Typical stuff from the kings of PR spin.
  8. No joke, the Daily Record are actually blaming the Linfield fans for the Celtic terrorist love-in by saying the Linfield fans provoked them into it. Unreal.
  9. What!? It has absolutely nothing to do with that. Nothing at all. It's entirely a coincidence. In fact, the press will argue tomorrow that the figure of Brendan is in fact inside a square.
  10. I wonder what the reaction in the press to the blatant pro-terrorist display will be this time?
  11. I noticed that the Transfermrkt website which is usually a decent resource has noted that McKay went to Nottingham Forest for £727k. If that's the case then that's not too bad considering he was in the last year of his contract.
  12. Yip, this is a disgraceful story. So a newspaper which prints made up articles then goes after a complainer personally when they pull them up for highlighting said fake news. It is actually very sinister. And I expect more of this to come. It is strangely in line with the recent activity of other Fake News sites as CQN and the rest in which they are posting the email address of regular posters who flag their false information.
  13. Sorry, to be clear, it is a clear shout from the Celtic fans during the Griffiths video.
  14. I totally agree with you. There is no way we should be paying the money discussed for a non-capped player from Hearts who is in the last year of his contract. Especially as we let McKay, who is a younger capped player in a similar position, for less.
  15. I think there is mass psychosis going on so there will be no self policing. Any definitely no highlighting of the issue from the press. On the video of Griffiths doing his thing there is a clear shout of "you h*n b*stards" to the Linfield fans but that is conveniently being ignored.
  16. Latest hilarious piece from regular Fake News contributor CQN is that Hugh Dallas is behind the Leigh Griffiths action. UEFAs bizarre logic was at it’s best yesterday when they issued disciplinary proceedings following the Linfield v Celtic match. A shrug of the shoulders seems to have been applied to the range of missiles aimed as Leigh Griffiths with equal prominence given to the Celtic striker tying a scarf to a goalpost after the final whistle. It seems that referee Alejandro Hernandez has escaped comment for his ‘puzzling performance’. At the fist sign of missiles coming down on Griffiths he should have informed the fourth official who in turn contacts the match commander who floods the area with police officers and stewards. For the small minority of fans there to watch a game of football there were plenty of spare seats to relocate to- had they requested seats near the corner flag for some reason? When the bottle came on the pitch Hernandez could have taken the players into the centre of the pitch or back to the dressing room and demanded a Public Address announcement that the game was in danger of being abandoned. That would have given the so-called majority of nice Linfield fans the chance to root out the ‘bad apples. Hernandez chose to book Griffiths which was in keeping with an episode of UEFA shame which allowed the match to be switched to allow the locals to celebrate their hatred of Catholics. But who educates and trains UEFA referees, none other than the Bigot from Bonkle Hugh Dallas- the man whose hatred for Catholics forced him out of the SFA when some of his emails became public while he was orchestrating a strike by referees for reasons unknown. “We need to ensure the UEFA referees are given the best possible education for their development,” UEFA referee officer Hugh Dallas told UEFA.COM. “The most important law is not written down – the so-called ‘Law 18’ – and this is about common sense. A referee may have a great knowledge and understanding of the laws, but to apply them in a correct manner is a required skill.” The common sense cop-out really should be kicked into touch. It’s an excuse for referees to do whatever they want which sums up Dallas’ career in refereeing.
  17. Well he accepted Celtic's tainted cash very unlike a fan.
  18. very good Brahim!
  19. I wouldn't mind seeing Walker in a Rangers strip however I feel that we have a load of midfielders and also, I certainly wouldn't like to see us pay anywhere near the money quoted to Hearts for a player in the final year of his contract. If Hearts get anywhere near £1m they will be laughing all the way to the bank.
  20. Well considering he recently spoke at the nauseating Lisbon (well, about 40 miles away) Lions event he can be struck off the list.
  21. Yeah I think this may have actually been last year.
  22. So basically they are admitting that there are mysterious powerful third-party influences trying to change results if they don't like them? Surely that is a massive story? That is horrendous that the SFA can't make a decision without pressure being put on them.
  23. I hope we get a decent fee for him. He seems reasonably highly rated down South.
