  1. That was genuinely shameful!
  2. Exactly. There was a comment above about Rangers fans hating Scotland. I don’t hate Scotland but I hate what it is becoming - that is a small minded backwater infested with republicanism and social handouts to appease the mindless for a vote. I am definitely Scottish first and British second but that in no means says that I’m ashamed to be British. There is nothing wrong with being both.
  3. I’m sorry but those grievances are pathetic. Whiskey IS British! As is Tunnocks! It’s nothing to do with “appeasing those down South” it’s do to with international marketing. To be honest, I’ve never seen Scotch labelled as British once.
  4. http://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/14537768.Revealed___What_Scotland_s_new_MSPs_think_of_God__cannabis__football_and_Coronation_Street/ There is one of the sources. The argument isn’t about who likes Rangers, it is about who hates Rangers. Just because they are Tory doesn’t mean to say they should support us. The question to you (again) is why are Rangers supporting MSPs so under represented? What is the reason for this statistical anomaly?
  5. You are purposefully skirting the point. The basic question is - why do the majority of MSPs support (or say they support) Celtic and only 1 says they support Rangers? What is the reason behind this as it is a statistical anomaly (of which there are a fair few strange ones in Scottish politics today).
  6. So if that’s the case, what encouraged the overwhelming majority of those answered to say they supported Celtic? If they have no interest in football, why did they give that answer. That is even more sinister if that’s the case.
  7. For me too, Rangers is about football. But there is no denying that there is more to it than that.
  8. So the fact that there is just one Rangers supporting MSP is just a statistical anomaly?
  9. Anderlecht at 3/1 was easy money!
  10. I would argue that A, B, D and E could be based on religion or politics, based on who is actually pulling the strings.
  11. Fair point that I can’t disagree with.
  12. I think we may be disagreeing on semantics mate. When I say Unionist, I mean pro-Union. If that’s the wrong terminology they apologies for the confusion.
  13. None. But you don’t have to be a part of the Unionist party to be pro-Union.
  14. No one is saying that the referees have any problems with individual players. They certainly have a problem with out club though. They are being influence by something. The example you try and twist is in fact the perfect example. So when Jack is carded more times in 4 months playing for Rangers is it because a) He becomes a dirty player playing for Rangers or b) he is being treated differently as a Rangers player. I find it hard to believe anything else other than b) due to the large probablility that he has been unlucky and got red cards at a rate of over 14 tines than when he played for Aberdeen. So the question is; why are we being referees to a different basis? Is it; A) the referees personally hate Rangers? B) the referees are being influence by their bosses? C) the referees are strangely but randomly giving decisions in error against us? D) they are being influence by the press and their reaction to anything pro-Rangers / anti-Celtic? E) they are being paid by a third party to influence matches? I’m not sure what one it is but I don’t think it’s C).
  15. Agreed. How many people voted to stay in the Union vs how many people are in the OO? I would imagine as a proportion of the population, those in the OO will be very low. I don’t even know a single person in it!
  16. I would say you are in a more obscure group f Rangers fans then. However, you are welcome to your views and there is nothing wrong with them. All I’m saying is that in general Rangers are seen as a pro-Unionist club and supporters in general are pro-Union. There isn’t anything there that is “total mince”. I can also confirm that I have absolutely no association with the Orange Order, not do my friends who are predominantly pro-Union. I have no problem with the OO though, they are free to do what they want as long as they aren’t harming anyone.
  17. Both being idiots there but I don’t know how you could call up the guy for holding back the ball and not the other guy who slammed him to be ground.
  18. I agree with Bill. Whether you like it or not, football and politics mix in Scotland. Politics affects the governing body and the governing body affects the teams and referees. Would a government hell bent on destruction of the Union be happy that a team with strong Unionist support is performing well? There is no doubt that the political influence of the club goes both ways. A child might grow up with tenuous Unionist feelings but feel more part of it when they go to Ibrox. Now a weaker Rangers is going to attract less kids, hence they are removing the influence. And vice-Versa, a strong Celtic will undoubtedly influence kids to have a more Republican viewpoint.
  19. Did anyone see it? I’ve just read a that the Hearts assistant will be called up for a ban but MacKinnon is facing no further action. I’ve heard MacKinnon being described as Scott Brown lite and that seems to be true in this case!
  20. The problem is that for it to hold any value, the club be to be driving this. It is blatantly obvious. Every single game it is obvios, with the exception of maybe only 1 or 2 this season. I’ve said it before, professional sport is often decided based on marginal decisions and this season there have been marginal decisions going against us consistently. We really are playing against 12 men at times.
  21. I must have missed that popping to the kitchen! That’s a shocker and worse than Jack’s as he’s nowhere Near the ball with no intent to get it!
  22. The Miller pass was absolutely sublime. The “backheel” however, I thought he accidentally stood on the ball.
  23. Kris Commons just called Jack “disgusting” and said he could have ended May’s career as if it was deliberate. Kris, do you find your ex-teammate and Scotland hero Scott Brown “disgusting” for taking sneaky kicks to other players faces when they are lying on the ground?
  24. Great result against refereeing adversity (again!).
  25. Yaaaas! F*ck you Collum you placeman!
