What happened to the £40m? Is Messi leaving Barca because they didn’t sign him? I don’t actually believe they got even anything near £18m for a guy who wasn’t even the top goalscorer in an all time low Scottish league.
-
I’m really not convinced by him. Will have to wait and see how he performs over the rest of the season.

Just the latest in the long run of rubbish slandering the club and it’s fans. Strangely enough, Strachan has been attacked by fans twice, and no time has it been from Rangers fans or at Ibrox.

BLUE SEA OF FEAR Gordon Strachan says he feared scouting trips to Ibrox in case he hit back at Rangers fans giving him abuse The former Scotland boss was criticised for not picking enough Gers stars during his time but he has hit back at those opinions By Robert Grieve 20th December 2017, 7:58 am Updated: 20th December 2017, 8:39 am 5 COMMENTS GORDON STRACHAN has revealed he avoided scouting trips to Ibrox — because he feared he’d spark a rammy with Rangers supporters. Strachan admitted: “I didn’t go to Rangers much when I was Scotland manager but that was because I was scared in case anything untoward happened. Gordon Strachan didn't enjoy visits to Ibrox KENNY RAMSAY - THE SUN GLASGOW Gordon Strachan didn’t enjoy visits to Ibrox “I’m sure it wouldn’t have but, being the ex-Celtic manager, I was always a wee bit wary. It was nothing to do with the hospitality from the club, it was in case I was walking across the road, somebody says something and I nark back at them. “I didn’t want to be in anyone’s face. “Any Rangers fans I did meet were all good with me. “I never had any of them in my face telling me I was useless. You don’t want to make a headline. “I did go sometimes but you’ve got to remember that for three or four years they weren’t in the top division. “Was I supposed to go and watch them against Brechin? “People had a go at me for not picking Lee Wallace and Barrie McKay but they were playing against Forfar and Brechin. Seriously, they are not. “But as soon as they got into the Premiership what did I do? “The first thing I do is pull them in the squad because they are doing well against the likes of Hearts and I can really judge them at that point.” Asked if he should not have been able to spot their potential regardless of the opposition they were up against, Strachan hit back: “No you cannot do that. Lee Wallace and Barrie McKay only made a handful of appearances under Strachan KEITH CAMPBELL - THE SUN GLASGOW Lee Wallace and Barrie McKay only made a handful of appearances under Strachan “You cannot judge people against these teams, absolutely no chance. You have to judge them against the best.” Strachan has also hit back at criticism he didn’t watch enough Scottish-based players. He said: “Listen, if you look at previous Scotland managers they spent most of their time watching games in England. “Fortunately I live down here so I can get about. GORD’S REGRET Former Scotland boss Gordon Strachan reveals his one big regret as national team gaffer was mentioning GENETICS “But every single game that was played in Scotland I had my scouts watching. “My scouts were Neil Lennon, Tony Docherty, Mark McGhee, Tom O’Neill who worked with me at Celtic. “They were all there, telling me which players were on fire and which ones I need to go and see. “When is the best time to go and see them? Steven Naismith: January poser for Scotland and Norwich forward
StuGers replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
From comments I’ve seen from Norwich fans, they’d be delighted to see the back of him. -
Is it just me or has he had a lot of their games recently?
-
I used to always have foreign teams strips but it was purely because I liked their design. My kid will be supporting Rangers or no-one. Poor wee guy!

Yes, Ashley really does have our best interests at heart. It was really generous for him to give us that 3p in the pound for our merchandise. What a charitable bloke... I really hope your post was trying to be ironic and missed the mark.

BHEASTS Banner: “JERUSALEM IS PALESTINE FUCK TRUMP”
StuGers replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Until I see any evidence they are arresting anyone I’ll stick with they are ignoring it. -
I said it on another forum - this is another open goal for Rangers to pursue. Imagine that a “journalist” had referred to Celtic Park as “the Piggery”? The hatred of our club doesn’t even need to be partly hidden anymore - it is just all out clear contempt and we just sit back and take it. Is there any other football club in the UK which is openly referred to in such derogatory terms by national newspapers in print?

BHEASTS Banner: “JERUSALEM IS PALESTINE FUCK TRUMP”

UEFA have no authority on national level matches and there is no rules the SFA can use. However, the police were doing their usual and ignoring the Offensive Behaviour at Football bill which will certainly have covered that banner. -
Who knows what has really went on as the press will always paint us in a bad light but no matter how badly we’ve handles it it is obvious we have dodged a bullet. If McInnes didn’t want the job due to his loyalties with Aberdeen, then he wasn’t fit for the job. He’s got a poor managerial record and he was basically getting it because he is “a Rangers man”. If his loyalties with Aberdeen are that strong then he obviously isn’t “a Rangers man”. If McInnes felt “unwanted” then good riddance. He should have been fighting tooth and nail for the job that eclipses Aberdeen by miles. If that was the case then he wouldn’t have been thick skinned enough to take the job. If McInnes has changed his mind at the last minute, then it suits his previous as a bottler. Any of those 3 scenarios show we have got the best result in a bad situation.

Aberdeen Statement - McInnes to stay at Aberdeen

I’ll be honest - I’m glad. -
Rangers fan alarmed eight players by 'touching' them
StuGers replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
What a tube. Looks like his 20 previous convictions coming into play. However, remember the Hibs ned ran the length of the park, attacked two players, then ran to the Rangers fans and hit a woman with a seat and never got jail time. -
The majority of matches this season has had the refs give every 60/40 in favour of the other team.
-
We’ve already covered the “why”. Because they would want to destabilise what is (or is perceived to be) a pro-union. It’s as simple as that. Either that or a religious thing.
-
If you don’t think that’s strange or indicates some other underlying trend then that’s up to you.
-
I don’t think there is - I am seeing the opposite to be honest - people denying Rangers as a club has certain connotations of a political skew. I’m not saying that anything anti-union is not welcome but no one can deny that you will see mostly Union Flags at Ibrox. However there are some on here ignoring that. And certainly no-one is saying that women or those of different ethnicities are welcome at Ibrox. The more the merrier. I’ve got a few South Asian friends who frequent Ibrox and are more passionate than me.
-
Why is there only one Rangers fan? You keep ignoring that. Out of the general population that is a vastly lower number than expected, especially when related to other clubs. Could it be even more of an indication that Glasgow’s politics are geared towards a certain persuasion?
-
Again, why are there (by that survey) 6x more Celtic fans than Rangers then?
