The January Transfer Window Rumours and Deals Thread

Im sure they actually paid a stupidly high fee for Roberts’ loan. -
If we got that then fair enough.

Wow, the ET are even late to the party with that one. Was it the Scotsman that first printed that? They got slaughtered for the headline giving the impression that the ‘orange’ part was relevant to the story. I’m surprised that the ET are pretty much going for the same slant as it is absolutely ridiculous.

If they offered £10m I’d take it. In the meantime, get him signed up on a longer term improved deal as he is undoubtedly a saleable asset. -
If that’s the excuse they gave that’s nonsense. One guy alone attached a guy on the pitch and hit a female supporter with a chair. The slap on the wrist he got would play down this crime but it was still found to be a crime.

They are hilarious! Apart from the Valencia one which I’ve always liked.
-
Did he!? Thank the lord!!
-
He won’t. And Rangers need to use that to their advantage. But they won’t. See Murty’s comments just 5 minutes ago.
-
And there you go. That is why we need more balls. Murty says that he has “seen those given” when talking about the ridiculous penalty given for the ball getting fired at Martin point blank. For all I like Murty, he is too weak.

What’s the story?

So Rodgers is in the media slaying referees yet again. Is it time that we ditched the “dignified silence” approach and start highlighting the weekly circus that is the refereeing performance against us? It is easy for us to argue that other personnel are speaking out un-cited so we should take advantage of that in my opinion.

Google suggest it is actually a thing.

What relevance is there that the strip is orange, so much that the headline makes it look like the colour was something to do with the issue?

https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/rangers/former-rangers-star-craig-moore-sacked-over-orange-strip-row-1-4674330 Former Rangers star Craig Moore sacked over orange strip row STEVE GOODMAN Published: 12:50 Saturday 27 January 2018 15 HAVE YOUR SAY Rangers defender Craig Moore has been sacked as Brisbane Roar director of football - in a row about kits. • READ MORE: Rangers boss Graeme Murty reveals positive feedback from Dave King Craig Moore in action for Rangers. Picture: SNS GROUP The Australian defender won 12 trophies during his two spells at Ibrox, including five SPL titles and four Scottish Cups. Moore went on to play for Newcastle United and Brisbane before rejoining the A-League club in his present role. The 42-year-old said earlier this month he would leave Roar, but stay until March to help with players’ contracts. But the Aussie club has now axed Sydney-born Moore after the fiasco of their midweek AFC Champions League clash with Philippines minnows Ceres-Negros. Several players had to change shirts midway through the 3-2 home defeat as the squad numbers peeled off their backs, with some using tape to improvise numbers as there were no replacement strips available. Roar vice-chairman Chris Fong fumed: “We have a football director, and the buck stops with him. “I was flabbergasted by the images I saw of the game. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. • READ MORE: Greg Docherty dreaming of Rangers move since Uefa Cup final trip “It is disgusting that we could allow ourselves to be brought down to this level. It is indicative of what has gone on behind the scenes.” Moore confirmed to a local newspaper that Fong has put him on leave for the remainder of his notice period. Roar said in a statement: “The club understands the result against Ceres-Negros FC was disappointing, and the performance was unacceptable. “We have always worn our orange jersey with pride. [On Tuesday] our club disappointed many people, and embarrassed ourselves with the presentation and numbering on our jersey. “This was not the fault of BRFC kit manufacturer Umbro, and we are unreservedly apologetic.” Moore was tipped to return to Rangers as a director of football last yearRead more at: https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/rangers/former-rangers-star-craig-moore-sacked-over-orange-strip-row-1-4674330

Did they just make that up? Or are they trying to make it a thing before it is actually a thing?
-
Out of interest, what is even supposed to be going on in that badge? Is it some chest thumping thing?
-
Yes.
-
If you want to be picky then fair enough. The amount of barriers in place to not make it illegal are challenging.
-
I certainly would if it wasn’t illegal.

Fingers crossed. I do think he’ll move on to do well, I just think last night was maybe a bit too much for him and he was having a major rush of blood to the head. -

Good. I hope he’s disappointed he missed those chances and uses that as a drive to improve further. -

Not saying he’s shite, just that he looked a bit lost last night.
