  1. Yes, what a waste if he goes back there
  2. Agreed, though integrating new players will take a few games and Werner looked sharp. With Pulisic back on one wing and Ziyech on the other it should help opening up defences for Werner and Havertz/Mount and the rest of the midfield. Thiago and Chilwell will sort defence and it's just a keeper needed...watch this space.
  3. By the way the media have been going since Sunday it might be Mourinho who has already started calling out certain players. He always ends up doing this but not usually after game no1.
  4. hedging my bets, what do you think score will be?
  5. Sheffield Utd 1 Wolves 1 Brighton 0 Chelsea 2
  6. Don't forget though, Norwich were being hailed as a breath of fresh air last year for their attacking intent especially after beating Man City 3-2 in Sept, and look what happened there. I think Leeds will struggle to stay out of the relegation zone over the course of a long season as will Fulham and WBA.
  7. Quality and also grabbed the clean sheet record of seven consecutive.
  8. Shergar is missing Neil.
  9. I'd go along with that, though maybe with Leicester as main challenger.
  10. Yes, gutted for both of them.................
  11. Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo became the first European to score 100 international goals in men's football and then passed that mark with both goals in the Nations League win over Sweden. Quality.
  12. If he is anything like Michael Ballack he will be worth the price!!
  13. Really? His record across 3 of the best leagues in the world and internationally has no equal IMHO.
  14. Ronaldo is better.
  15. Even with a salary reduction i can't see any PL sides being able to pay a sizeable fee plus whatever % of that £99m, even a 50% reduction, except maybe City .
  16. Yep its going to rumble on and either a stalemate and a wasted season for both or around 100-150m fee. I suspect the higher the fee then less Messi's team will be able to demand in wages.
  17. Understand their motive, but surely the contract is between the player and the club. How can a national association stipulate the fee clubs will have to pay? If Barca want to hold on to a player who no longer wishes to be there, then it is up to them to manage the situation. This will definitely go to the courts, then i can see him spending a year going through the motions and will leave for nothing rather than the 50-100m Barca could have got? After nearly 20 years of service i'd have thought an amicable split could have been sought.
  18. No issue with freshening things up after a while, but change for Woke sake is a bad cowardly change.
  19. That must be illegal, how can a league insist a player remains within it just because he plays for one of their clubs?
  20. Dinamo Moscow def one to avoid. A visit from the New Saints would be different.
  21. Yep, but then again i've always thought Ronaldo was the better player for club and country.
  22. Ahh, what a laugh, don't you just love it when a result comes together.
  23. Not sure what team would be prepared to splash out a massive fee on top of his huge wage of 400k per week for a 33 year old untested in any other league.
