Think Barazite is with us for another week maybe. Kerkar scored in the Thistle bounce match and it says can play left of midfield. Saying that I think Barazite is a better player by all accounts.

I'd rather have Man Utd than Chelsea. Although having said that a nice 50/50 between Lafferty and Terry would be interesting.

What happened with that one? When I went on holiday we were supposed to be talking to him. Then I read something saying talks were off. Goncalves doesn't have a club yet so is there something still to happen or are his wage demands unreasonable?

He got rave reviews from the two bounce games he played and you wonder what else he could do to earn a deal. I believe Barazite is predominantly left sided which makes him different to Weiss but from what I've read he also lack a little pace and prefers a more central role. If he did sign I'm not so sure he would feature week in week out and for that reason I'd prefer to see a quality left sided player with pace, good delivery and a dead ball specialist.

Meanwhile over on FF quotes galore from Jelavic and his agent saying he was basically a Ranger on Monday until Rapid moved the goalposts. He wants to join Rangers before the Villa game. His mind is already in Glasgow. Rapid meanwhile say he will play against Villa. Stalemate!

It will be interesting to hear what Walter has to say in his pre match press conference presumably today. I don't see the Jelavic deal progressing much to be honest. Rapid don't want to sell him so I can't see them suddenly offering to pay the player a severance package so he can join us - if that's the deal breaker.

Was just about to say isn't it odd Beattie is here but Smith isn't. I'm coming round to the idea of Beattie but don't know much about Smith. I hope wages aren't a stumbling block AGAIN. -
If that's the case then God forbid Beattie doesn't sign or we'll be knocking on Lee Millers door.

If we get Jelavic then I will be very happy but I can only imagine Beattie is a back up plan. Perhaps a bit of bluffing to force an outcome from Vienna.
