Miller signs for Bursaspor - Undisclosed fee
Stefanovitch replied to Beattie's topic in Rangers Chat
If that is the case then I hope we secure Goodwillie quickly and aren't still haggling come January 31st.- 275 replies

I think Skacel has proven twice over the SPL is a level where he can thrive!
-
£2m would be better used targetting Skacel or Templeton and where is Andy Driver these days?
-
I would agree. Returning to training in mid December means he wont be fit for 2nd January.
-
If Craig Gordon was worth £9m 2/3 years ago then Rangers should hold firm and demand a similar fee, or more, for McGregor who is a much better goalkeeper. I couldn't see myself saying this last year but losing Naismith would be a huge loss for us while replacing Bougherra would be easier.

McCoist injures Webster with stray pass!
-
I doubt we will see any new arrivals unless someone is sold or new money comes from somewhere Webster has been the biggest farce in recent years and he should be offloaded perhaps to Dundee Utd in exchange for Gomis. A central defender would also be nice perhaps that Portugese fella we always get linked with.

Breaking News: Rangers to be sold before Xmas
Stefanovitch replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
It will be interesting to hear what DJ has to say on Snyde. If he reckons it's a goer I think we can safely assume it's not going to happen -
May agree to a % of any future fee rather than £300k now
-
What with Walter leaving at the end of the season I reckon any significant revenue should be ringfenced for his successor (presumably McCoist) to add his own players to the squad. I assume Weir will finish at the same time as Walter so central defence will need looking at and also full backs.

Rangers 1 : 1 Valencia - Player Ratings and MoM Poll
Stefanovitch replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
:sp: Sasa was outstanding and one day one of those free kicks will find the top corner - maybe Sunday Incidentally I think your rating of 5 for Kenny Miller is more than a little harsh. Miller worked his socks off, as he always does and certainly deserved more than 5 (especially when you've given Lafferty a 4). -
While I agree Insua changed the game for Bursaspor I feel the Turks inability to pick up Naismith in the first half was similar. The difference was Insua's impact was more noticeable as we tired.

The SPL will always be a two horse race unless either us or Celtic are so bad as to allow another club to finish 2nd. I fail to see how any restructure would allow another club to substain a regular challenge for the title. The only way Scottish football will become more competitive is if some rich nutter decides to invest in Hibs, Aberdeen or A N Other (on an ongoing basis to exclude Romanov) or for Rangers and Celtic to move to a new or different league.

IMO Miller is the only player to have turned up so far this season I await a "performance" from the others soon - hopefully Tuesday.

Jay DeMerit - good quality central defender that needs a job!
Stefanovitch replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
In all honesty I'd rather have Goncalves anyway. -
Unless he's already down South with the deal just to be announced.
-
I agree unless it's someone we've been watching for a while or outside England.
-
I still reckon Michael Tonge would be available from Stoke if we asked nicely. He's a left sided midfield player but I'm not sure if he'd command a starting spot every week.
-
Has Benalouane signed for Juve yet?
-
They probably can't hence the deal will not progress unless we fund the large part of his wage.
-
More interesting maybe but more worrying is the reported interest in Aberdeens Richie Foster today
-
He obviously has some ability but I don't think he's what we need now. We really need a left sided midfield player capable of attacking and defending and supplying crosses into the box. Assuming Weiss plays on the right we have a big gap on the left.

It will be interesting to see the next set of accounts to see how much the debt has reduced by. However reducing the debt will inevitably increase the the money Sir David Murray wants before selling.

In all honesty I don't rate him either. Never quite seen the fuss with him and at 33 with no doubt a high wage it's definitely something we should avoid.
