What about a couple of others Pablo Counago or Tomislav Sokota. Both out of contract but possibly not very good? Two names I had heard of previously though.

Any chance Willie McKay is Feindouno's agent too? Although not a striker he would add a bit of creative spark and has an eye for goal.

I can't believe this wasn't the case but once again we're led to believe all our eggs were in one basket i.e. if Jelavic goes we try (not very hard) to get Grant Holt. We knew Holt was going to be expensive and didn't have any other viable target. Quite simply that is ludicrous for a club of our supposed stature.

I seriously doubt if McCoist was serious about trying to bring anyone else in. 48 hours have passed since he made those comments and still no sign of anything.

There are only a select few who know that and McCoist doesn't appear to be one of them. At leats that's the line he keeps peddling in the media.

Really struggling to come up with any out of contract strikers we could go for apart from Riordan and Cousin. Are there any others? McCoist / Rangers must break with habit and move quickly and decisively.

A few people have mentioned Daniel Cousin being unattached and also Derek Riordan. We have or had Matthew Mbuta on trial - is he a striker? God knows who McCoist has in mind but if he's serious about adding a striker then he has to move quickly. Something he's failed to do previously.

STV report McCoist met Whyte yesterday evening and urged him to bid £2M for Grant Holt. Whyte then bid less than half that allegedly. So do we take from that Whyte is prepared to back McCoist but doesn't have the funds to do so? or Is Whyte trying to force McCoist to walk knowing full well the Holt bid wouldn't be accepted. We had similar bids in the summer for Goodwillie and Juhasz to name but a few.

Edson Buddle I believe is out of contract but we won't be signing anyone. That much is clear after yesterday's debacle. Could be looking for a new manager though!

As someone on FF said. Our offer of half their valuation is "absurd" yet Everton and West Hams offer which doesn't meet our valuation of Jelavic is reported differently.

I haven't seen him other than when Falkirk beat us. He does know where the goal is and surely wouldn't cost a lot.
